TERMINATRYX - "MARIAN" (THE SISTERS OF MERCY Cover Version) for World Goth Day

There are so many classic Sisters songs to pick from and this was one of the less obvious ones - and also one of Sonja's favourites - particularly their live version from the Old Grey Whistle Test BBC TV show in the mid-1980s.
We leaned towards that rendition as it differs a bit from the album cut. We also kept it simple both in the interpretation of the song and in the music video.

"Marian" was written by Andrew Eldritch and Wayne Hussey was adapted and appears on the 1985 album First And Last And Always.
This rendition was adapted and performed by TERMINATRYX, recorded and mixed by Paul Blom.

One of my favorite track rom them. Probably my favorite song off First Last & Always. Got the cd in 1990 I believe. Saw them play at the Hollywood Palladium in 1998. Great show. Saw Bau Haus’s resurrection show there same year

Typical "Let's cover a classic non-metal song, put some distorted guitars in it and otherwise copy the original." No offence, you all obviously know what you're doing with your instruments/voice, but it's just uninspired. Just as The Sisters of Mercy cover of "Jolene" from 1992.

All musicians know the risks of doing a cover version, especially when doing a metal cover and/or from a very prolific original song. It's divisive, and basically you only get top or flop opinions, and barely anything in between. One could argue for days or just bow out with respect.
