Hard to explain for me in english but i'm gonna try. It's the smoke of the wood chips that are introduced in the oven at the end of the firing of the potery that enter into the natural cracks of the potery's engobe. The carbon of the smoke makes the cracks black.

But how do the cracks go up in a swirl like that? Was it just coincidence or did he manipulate the piece somehow beforehand? In my experience the cracks in Raku form rather chaotically.

Super pédagogique. J m y mets tout de suite, j ai de la terre du fuilet et ballclay. On veut plus de vidéos. Merci beau boulot. Une fois la sigilise pausee je cuit biscuit 900 degrés puis cuisson bois et enfumage c est cela ? Encore merci.

C’est magnifique ! J’ai pas compris s’il y avait mono cuisson dans le four en briques avec programmateur ou si l’étape biscuit après l’application de sigillée avait été coupée au montage.

il a cuit la première cuisson,le biscuit,dans le four a gaz, laisser refroidir a environ 500 degrés ,ouvrir le four ,et jeter des copeaux de bois dans la chambre sur la pièce,et refermer le tout pour l'enfumer.
