Thanks for the insight into the parabolic springs. It’s hard to genuine user reviews and information on this type of leaf spring so these videos are really helpful. I’m just about to pull the trigger on a set for my dual cab hilux, not sure wether to go with terrain tamer or westralia springs.

The service i got from terrain tamer was 2nd to none.... Thanks for watching.

Can I ask a question about the rear diff. What’s with the red / orange axles. Do you have a different diff to fix the track issue, if so who’s is it. Thanks Grant.

Actually Grant its nothing like that,Maxxis who sponsor the comp truck did a couple of clips on both trucks, the orange paint was leftover from painting the hilux rims, so while i was doing rear pads on 79 i painted the hubs with the paint to cover all the surface rust.... The neg 50rear rims fixed my track...Sorry for confusion and thanks for watching

When you say "grafted" the high clearance plates did you mean modify ? Or they went together fine? Just clarifying as I've got a set of them plates and will probs get my hands on a set of parabolic's. Cheers

I had to grind out the opening on the plate where the springs sit... was only around 3-4mm in total, not the end of the world and well worth the effort, used a 5 inch grinder with flap discs... Thanks for watching

Hey mate next time your under the car can you measure from the top of your axle tube up to the chassis rail in the rear I’m wanting to get a 3 inch leaf for my hdj79 but want to run a standard length shackle so I can get it engineered in nsw and yours looks like the right height also what sort of weight would you recommend carrying all the time to make these 700kg springs comfortable as I’ve got a canopy and steel tray on mine and the vehicle weighs about 3300kg most of the time

Hi mate I will do next time im under there.. Mine are only 2 inch though, not 3... You don't have to have a lot of weight on the back to be comfortable... Even a couple of hundred kgs and quarter tank of juice and they are a pleasure.... Im a little lighter than you running around town at 3tonne on the nose....

@@TeamBulletOffroad legend mate cheers only reason I say that is mine is at 3 inches height now and it looks the same height as yours front and rear if not a bit lower than yours and we both have the same size tyres I previously had a 2 inch lift on mine and it was way lower than yours

@@Lambycapo So it measures 370mm mate, not dead centre as i run an airbag so just next to it, thats with a full belly of diesel.

@@TeamBulletOffroad yeh true is that from the bottom of the chassis rail to the top of the axle tube ? Because mines 270 from those two points and that’s with 2 inch springs and 2 inch shackles supposedly giving about 3 inches of lift
