@Sean Simmons At the end of the day rhinos still exist, especially in zoos. I don't understand the conservation efforts of a particular species though. Why save some rare yellow-tailed bird in Borneo when there are millions of other birds still flying around? To me it's a hyped up issue just so that those researchers, biologists, naturalists and conservationists can apply for another government grant or donation and be employed for another year... Sounds like a good business plan. Why did I bother becoming a waiter when now I'm unemployable during restrictions...

Side fact: White rhinos are not actually white - their name, most likely, was a misunderstanding: settlers called them wijd, meaning “wide,” and English settlers thought they were saying “white,” and then they compounded the error by calling Africa’s other species of rhino “black.” But both, in reality, are classic rhinoceros gray.

Northern white rhino embryo update! 🌟 BioRescue and Ol Pejeta announced that another three new northern white rhino embryos were created - now there are twelve! 🦏 The team decided not to perform an oocyte collection on Nájin, the oldest of the two northern white rhinos. So far, none of Nájin’s eggs have been of sufficient quality to turn into viable embryos - all 12 embryos produced so far used oocytes from Fatu. In further developments on the ground at Ol Pejeta, two southern white rhino females were moved into the enclosure with Owuan, the sterilised southern white rhino bull who is serving as the oestrus detector for the females as they come into season. The team is carefully monitoring the welfare of all the animals and will start to observe and record their behaviour in preparation for the first embryo transfers which are likely to begin by the end of the year. The only problem with this is, that the genetic diversity is very lov, and therefore extremely vulnerable to changes. It depends on how many different males there was collected semen from. Let’s say it was 60 males, the genetic diversity would still be very small. It would require many, many, many years to rebuild the diversity, because it requires mutations, sudden changes and random changes to the DNA. An example: if all humans had very little genetic diversity, we would either, have all died to COVID or we would all survive COVID. But because humans have a very big genetic diversity, some have small random mutations, that makes us immune to some diseases, that other people would have died from.

Combine this with all "evil" being the result of instinctive desires (something an AI would not possess) and the chances of robots killing people and taking over the world is very slim! ...unless we program them with a desire to kill. @Kordell swoffer uh-??, You do realize that you're mindset is fucked up right??, YES, we are selfish, we're human after all, therefore flawed. But the thing you're saying 'recources' it's actually not, they hunted the species bc they 'like' it and just to boast and brag about it, It's not normal to hunt = kill an ENTIRE species just because of that reason. And it's not like they can 'protect' themselves and fight 'hard enough' They are not a predator animals, and can they fight when people who hunt them, have guns and ton of sht just to kill them??,
@uselessdead2317
@uselessdead2317 3 жыл бұрын
@Kordell swoffer , yes it's kinda logical when you look into the history of human stupidness, but it's not 'normal' to do this things, and it SHOULDN'T be, it shouldn't be normalised, bc it's NOT normal, it's harming the nature, but y'all let it slide bc it's 'resource' it 'benefit' us, I mean, that's not bad actually, it's normal to do those but not to the point of EXTREME that it will incredibly harm the nature,
@uselessdead2317
@uselessdead2317 3 жыл бұрын
