Terranigma - Final Boss + Ending & Credits

My first time beating this game. It was my 2nd attempt at the final boss though.
One crucial detail to Gaia 2 is that you have to stand near the bottom of the platform, otherwise he will never come close so you can hit him. First time I tried I was really greedy and stayed near the top all the time which obviously didn't work.

If ActRaiser's ending is like A Link To The Past's ending, Soul Blazer's is like Ocarina of Time's ending, Illusion of Gaia's is like Wind Waker's ending, then this game's ending is like Twlight Princess's ending. AR and ALTTP both had your typical happy endings where the evil is defeated and everyone can live happy lives, once more. In OoT, the hero is sent back in time to relive his childhood, while the hero in SB is reincarnated as a true human to experience life as such. Both are similar in that regard. Both IoG and WW deal with the end of an old world and the beginning of a new one. Both TN And TP deal with an ending, resulting in a tragedy where someone is seemingly gone forever, but the ending is overall bittersweet and the world is no longer in danger from darkness and light prevails.

Nice video! There's actually a way to avoid its screen filling attack by equipping and opening the magic rock menu at the same time he shoots. It may fail if the timing is not precise, but I used to save my ass like that when I was 13. And other attacks can be easily dodged by spamming dash attacks from side to side, which is at the same time the most powerful move you can use against Dark Gaia. This is one of my favourite games ^^ thanks for the nostalgia!

Light Ark was dead before dark Ark traveled to and resurrected the light world. Light Ark's soul kills dark Ark at the end of chapter 3, and they are both reborn as "the hero"

@@ATVdiscreto caso tenha jogado, o protagonista estava pisando em ovos o tempo todo e não sabia, ele foi encorajado pela única pessoa q causou o problema, a resolvê-lo, msm sem saber q tudo, onde ele aparentava ter nascido era mentira, ninguém naquela vila inicial realmente existe, todos estão mortos e quem matou foi o velho, lembra daquela vila igual do início q vc só encontra dps de muito tempo e a cidade está paralisada/congelada? Aquela é a cidade onde aconteceu o apocalipse de início e o protagonista foi criado lá, pelo velho feiticeiro, porém já com a traição em mente e o prota não imaginava, caiu numa armadilha, foi usado como um bode expiatório pra receber a vdd do pilantra, q havia dito q o único jeito de salvar a menina era revivendo o mundo, mas ele queria apenas refazer o inferno novamente, no fim o prota se pergunta o pq dele estar fazendo aquilo e seguindo só o q o velho fala, mas já era tarde demais, teve a vida tirada contra a própria vontade tentando, A menina do jogo foi o atrativo q o velho usou pra motivá-lo a refazer o mundo e conquistar tudo novamente, ela está morta, foi um feitiço do velho q deu uma vida programada por ele, pra alcançar o objetivo dele, dando esperança pra ele de q ela estava bem, porém a cidade inicial não existe mais, por isso quando vc encontra, a cidade está paralisada, o velho tentou salvar a cidade q o prota não existe q é a do passado, quando ele ainda não era vivo, não tinha nascido e usou o prota, dps de anos apocalipse, pra viajar o mundo e encontrar a cidade q parou no tempo. Aquela porta do começo do jogo foi o estopim de tudo, ali estava o demônio

@@pabloleon9884 He Dream's he was a Dove. Ark's Light side human form with Dark Ark's memories of the adventure came back to Elle in the end. What a beautiful ending!

​@@metalspinda9594 Pretty sure that was Dark Ark in dove form who went to see Light Elle at the end as Light Ark had already died and there was no reason for Light Gaia to conveniently reincarnate him into a dove with the memories of his dark counterpart. Also i believe the Terranigma manga (yes there's a manga) shows Dark Ark meeting with Dark Elle after visiting her in dove form.

@@javiervasquez625 If you really saw the Manga, you would KNOW the final page featured human Ark and Elle seeing each other with the bird approaching them. More over, Light Ark killed Dark Ark in the South Pole entrance to Abadon after he uses the star stones. The final entity that confronts Dark Gaia is thus Light Ark with Dark Arks memories. And! Unless the Dove was the size of a horse 🐴, I'M pretty sure Ark is visiting Elle in the ending as a HUMAN. No bird could exert the force needed to make that loud of a "peck". I realize how a transhumanist would WANT to commandeer Ark as another front man for the movement. He IS a cool character. His fate is Actually up for interpretation! ;)

@@metalspinda9594 That image of Dark Ark and Light Elle is _metaphoric_ as it's meant to represent their shared feelings of friendship towards eachother after experiencing so much together and been the closest thing to a relative the other has in the Light World. Light Ark did indeed "kill" Dark Ark while in Dryvale (where was it called Abadon? The german translation?) but as shown in the fourth chapter "The Resurrection of the *Hero"* both Dark Ark and Light Ark were FUSED into a _single being_ with both the spirits of Light and Dark Ark in the same body. The dove bird looking big in the worldmap during the credits doesn't mean he's a giant bird (lol) as that was simply for show just like when Ark hangs on a travel bird across the worldmap during gameplay. 🕊️ I'm no "transhumanist" (why did you bring that up?) but i can assure the ending of the game is concrete and obvious enough that there is NO ROOM for "interpretation" of any kind: Light Ark returned to the Light World to become another living being while Dark Ark reincarnated into a bird to meet Light Elle at the end of the game. Period. ;)

As an adult the music and atmosphere is creeepy. Can imagine this scaring the fudge out of younger me and leaving a lasting impression.
