Terraria Gridlocked is a challenge by HappyDays in which the Terraria world is completely covered in a locked framework of grids. To unlock a grid wall, we need to earn 50 gold coins using only what we can find within the grids we've unlocked.
The cost to unlock grids increases over time so we need to carefully plan which direction to unlock grids in to maximize our money-earning potential and beat Terraria by making our way to the Moon Lord!

This is such a cool idea! Your ideas for challenge runs never cease to amaze! Honestly, which zone you pick next is just what you want more. Do you want more surface access for boss fighting and the limited surface resources? Or do you expand your underground instead to gather the higher tier resources, and maybe expand into the underground snow/desert/jungle? If you ask me, expanding your underground should take priority. Whatever you pick though, I'm sure you know what you're doing. Good luck!!

Great video, and I had the thought of a “boss lock” challenge while watching this. Basically, to progress to the next area of the game you have to beat a boss from the area you are currently in. It would be a little janky for terraria, but you could (for example) not be allowed to go break a shadow orb to get meteor until you’ve defeated the EOC. It’s just an idea, and it definitely needs tuning, but I think there’s probably something there.

people frequently make this mistake, but the abigails flower doesnt actually have to be in a graveyard biome to spawn it just has to be next to a tombstone, just thought i should point that out. anyways epic video! it seems really hard and was fun to watch

I would suggest going downward, the faster you can reach the underworld the better, loads of good items, obsidian, hellstone, plus saves a bit of time trying to get to the wall of flesh battle

Either unlock further down or save up on several grid unlocks, and head left or right. Further down will provide ore and new enemy types. However, I would say head left with unlocks stacked so you can travel as far as possible in one go. Hopefully you will find the Evil biome so you can work on getting a gun and setting up a boss fight.

Going down would mean more upgrades but going left or right could mean more bosses or better farming.

I would start heading left. You’ll need to reach the dungeon to fight skeletron at some point and you’ll need to hit crimson/corruption for its boss too. Plus it’ll get you access to more varied materials and more surface space for the blood moon farming.

This is actually a really good idea! I feel like it'd be a great way to make larger builds feel less... Well large. Limiting yourself to a smaller, manageable space to build in, then when its done make another area until you have a good sized, detailed world
