I got some questions. what's that "this is a solid block' message over and over? My cursor doesn't have that grid thing how do you do that? Lastly I know nothing about speed runs but I would think getting the Terragrim would help. Am I trippin?

1. The solid block message is produced by the housing query (use the house icon on the middle-right when you have the inventory open). I'm using it to find a pyramid - "this room is too big" = pyramid. 2. The tile grid can be turned on in settings under the Interface section. 3. I don't think it would do much.

2-part answer: 1. The way the game determines if the house is missing a wall is by checking if there is a gap with a width of over 4 tiles. 2. The way the game calculates the house's size is by first taking a point in the house and counting the adjacent blocks (including diagonally adjacent). If one of the surrounding blocks is an uncounted, non-solid block, the game will move to that block and continue the process until there are no more blocks to be counted. The house I build there (which is the same house I built for the guide) has two compartments, both of them are smaller than 4x4, so the house isn't missing a wall. One of the platforms is offset on the separator for the two compartments so that the area computation can continue from one compartment to the other, and thus the two compartments form one house (rather than two "houses" that are each too small). Something I've always been curious about: Why do speedrunners use block swap to mine with a drill sometimes? Is there a bug that makes it faster?

There's two techs you can do with drills: 1. If you spam click the drill will mine once per click 2. Block-swapping uses building range rather than the drill's range, and mining speed bonuses are applied when you block swap (they don't when you mine normally with a drill) I'm pretty slow at clicking so block-swapping ends up being faster for me
