Terraria - Expert King Slime & Eye of Cthulhu on the First Night [Speedrun Challenge]

Our adventure to tame the unforgiving first night in Terraria continues as King Slime and Eye of Cthulhu band together for an expert showdown. The giant beasts can easily squish new terrarians on their own, but it is challenges like this that in the end makes us stronger.
For Yrimir this is a most sought after victory, as King Slime has refused to show up during the first day/night ever since our challenges began many years ago. It is with great satisfaction that he can check the king of slimes off on his bucket list.

Do you believe in ghosts? In Norse mythology there is a contest between Thor and the giants. In one of the trials Thor is suppose to empty a large drinking horn. But no matter how much he tries to drink there is no end, and he is forced to quit. The reason for his failure was not his ability to drink, but because the giants put a spell on the horn so that it was linked to the ocean - thus making it impossible to empty. Two years ago, and a lot earlier than that, I spend my days either at my workplace or at home making videos. My mind drifted constantly towards those two, and I had a hard time focusing on having a normal conversation with anyone that mattered. Then one day I heard the love of my life crying from the room next door. Of course I rushed in there - who wouldn't - and in that moment I understood. Like Thor I had been so focused on emptying the horn that I had forgotten about everything else - my love, family and friends. From that moment I put everything aside instantly, without hesitation, and decided it was time to focus on what matters in life, and that's what I have done ever since. It has been a blast, but from time to time my mind drifted towards the will to create videos (mostly because the very few who know I make videos kept reminding me). The urge grew, and I had a talk with my love about it. Without using my creative side on a regular basis I didn't feel complete anymore. We then decided that the creative part (Yrimir) must be allowed to be set free - but in moderation and under strict control (!). I was glad, but also scared because I didn't know how to proceed. Then I talked to those I consider part of my Terraria "family" for the first time in two years. I was so scared about being rejected, but instead I got told that I was missed and showered in kind words. From that moment I stopped being afraid and let loose Yrimir again - so here I am, in all my glory /flex. I can't, or will not, promise how often I will upload videos, but trust me that I don't want to become a ghost. With a ghost I mean a soul that has to keep wondering how his life would have been if he had completed what he once started. First step towards that is that Hagrid's adventure will be finished. Finally a big thank to you who keep up with me, and a special thank you to the person who wrote to me to put down the horn many years ago - I wish I had listened and slowed down. Yrimir Oh my god... I have been a viewer for 3 whole years and after I finally convinced myself that you were not going to come back, I was devastated. I remember the day I had to go to the dentist, on the way there I thought of my favourite game (Terraria) and searched up some videos to watch. I stumbled upon "Hagrid's Adventure" and I instantaneously loved it! As soon as I got home I made sure to watch as much of the series that I could. A few months before the huge 1.3 update was released, you stopped the hagrid series and I thought about that day that I first watched that video and once again, I was devastated by the fact that a series me and a few other of my friends greatly enjoyed. At this point I was a mobile player (don't think wrong of me) and didn't understand stand the full point of the game so I went on my laptop and bought the game. At first I had no idea what the hell I was doing and did it anyways. Now I have 5 completely finished characters (moon lord defeated, full final armour set) 1 for each class except for melee I had two characters so I felt like I was fully finished the game and I haven't played in over 4 months for being made fun of for playing the game and other purposes such as I found out the devs of Terraria were practically finished with the game and were now working on otherworld. I know this has been an emotional return for you and it has for me too. You were a part of my childhood and you were a special youtuber, you were my favourite one for a long period of time and now that you are back I am full of joy. I hope that the viewers and you will find it in your hearts (and comments) to take the time to read this comment as many of us did for you. Thank you Yri, thank you.

You should try some of the mods for Terraria, like the Spirit (primarily insane accessories) , Thorium (it could be added to the base game and would blend in) , and Calamity(it's just amazing) mods. They add so much more content to the game, and their bosses (most notably those from the Calamity mod) are amazing. Plus, DM Dokuro is making a full custom soundtrack for Calamity. Look up "Scourge of the Cosmos" for one of the DM's Calamity tracks. Post-moon lord Destroyer, anyone? Also, a jungle dragon. Also, a post-golem EoC/Twins. And a final boss, a post-everything else set of EoCs. Just wow.
