I'm into the let's plays. And I’m documenting Devon's series at the moment in my spare time. Something I’d really like to see now is some characterization and backstory to Holly, for some direction in my design for her. I imagine her as a Paladin and warrior cleric, like you said. I wonder where she came from

I'd like to do some story for Holly, I'm just balancing getting back in to making videos vs the time to add story/cinematics atm. I may add some later in the series 🍪

Healer class looks really fun, the weapons are diverse and are similar to weapons from every class. It'll be cool if you'll be able to heal faster than bosses can kill you!

Totally, i'ts like all 4 classes rolled in to 1 (kinda). I agree the healing is a little slow so hopefully some more powerful healing spells are coming up soon! 🍪

I was in the water biome that Thorium makes and since I was lazy, I used the healing item to take care of the damage I was taking from not breathing 😂

Knowing Thorium, that Crimson Scythe can probably be made into a Night’s Edge adjacent weapon, I’d check if it’s a material for anything.

Scythes are really really strong crowd-control and for certain bosses. For bosses like Brain of Cthulu, you want to stand still until the brain gets close to you during the first phase. Usually, the brain will teleport away before it can get close to you, but if it does, you move away a bit. For the second phase, you can just stand still because the knockback should be enough to keep it away from you. You might take occasional damage during phase two this way, but it's easily healable. Sometimes standing still with the Scythe is amazing cause it's literally just a blender.

Hi yoahnoah! I'm so glad people enjoyed gridlocked! It was an experimental series for me and after a few episodes I realized it would've been better as a single HUGE video (like the OP class videos) vs separate episodes. I may try it again with a new world and make a single video next time! 🍪

Hi effietueller! I'm actually working on a modded OP video atm! The only thing I find difficult with mods is that they almost add too many weapon options and types which makes it hard to test and compare them all (vs vanilla). 🍪

@@happydaysgames yo happy, on the calamity wiki they have a section for suggested weapons and gear at specific sections of the game. If you want, it could be a good starting point for your searches

Just a quick tip to actually try complete some of the Tracker challenges when they are supposed to be done For a while in my own Healer playthrough I was stuck using a really old Scythe even though I progressed quite a bit, once I actually completed one of the Tracker quests to get the Scythe it was already not the best one available

You should look into the Devil may cry style meter mod. It adds a style meter that goes up and down based off of how much you get hit or how frequently you switch weapons. It doesnt change the game at all but its fun to have.

just a heads-up: BoC is a no-hit boss if you are healer. just spin scythe. dont move, dont switch weapons, dont buff, nothing. he physically cannot touch you if you spinny stick.
