Terraria max mining speed isn't what you think... Player mining speed. Now that we've moved onto some of the less major stats in the game, I figured that now would be a better time than ever to move onto the highly anticipated maximum mining speed setup. Compared to other stats we've focused on, mining speed in Terraria is actually surprisingly complex, with a series of different caps and calculations running in the background. So the question is, with this in mind, just how far can we push it? Enjoy!

Honestly, with the pickaxes is better to focus on its power than the mining speed since all the other buffs give it to you. Max Fishing Power could be interesting for a future video, because fishing has a ton of bizarre mechanics like being on a mount in water or even fishing at certain times of day and night (for some reason) buffs your fishing power.

Time of day affecting fishing has precedence irl. The sunlight hits the surface of the water at a more oblique angle, meaning more of it is reflected out as glare and less of it is disturbing the fish's senses. That's why lakes are so bright at dawn and dusk, but much easier on the eyes at noon.

This is pretty easy. Max fishing power would require the following: Angler Tackle Bag (+10 power) Lavaproof Tackle Bag (+10 power) Angler Earring (+10 power) Fishing bobber (+10 power) Full angler armor (+15 power) Fishing potion (+15 power) Chum Buckets (at least 3 of them for +20 power) Gummy worm (+3 power) Sitting on a toilet (+5 power) Sake (+5 power) Golden Fishing rod (50% fishing power) Master Bait (50% fishing power) A Gnome on screen (+0.2 luck. It does not boost fishing power but does improve quality of catches) The correct biome torch for where you are fishing (anywhere from +0 - +0.2 luck. It does not boost fishing power but does improve quality of catches) You also must fish on a Full Moon (or blood moon but full moon is better: +10% power) during the times between 4:30am-6:00am or 6:00pm-7:30pm for a +30% boost. And it must be raining for an additional +20% boost. The lake you fish in must be at least 300 water tiles for no penalty. I am not sure what the actual final fishing power number will be after doing all this but I am pretty sure this is everything you can possibly do at one time to max it out.

There’s not really a lot of ways to increase ranged attack speed. There’s tons of ways to increase melee attack speed, but I think its just reforges for ranged.

I always keep a mining/building loadout on me. the extremely low defensive and offensive options don't really matter since you can just switch with hotkeys. I do this with fishing too. highly reccomend as a usage for loadouts

I've been using the mining set ever since the light bone pick that I was using pre hardmode, digging claw on the other hand... might be time to go shell/godhand. Would free up quite a bit on my "building" slot. Fishing set is never going to be retired, but only two accessories locked into place does free things up, specially for sets that don't MIND the shell...

Mine is a Summoner Loadout, because my minions protect me from the Legendary Mode enemies whilst mining, building, fishing, sorting, searching for those Truffle Worms, Blood Moon fishing, exploring, standing there and doing absolutely nothing, thinking, and depositing garbage in chests.

I feel like the digging molecart deserves at least a passing mention since it's one of the few things which can theoretically mine any block instantly, at the cost of creeping along at like 5 miles an hour while digging. Massive time saver when I was walling the corruption in my most recent Don't Dig Up world.

I use the Slice of Cake and mining potion with Hand of Creation to quickly quarantine the Evil biomes at the start of Hardmode. I play on a large map and it only takes 10 minutes to do.

@@Terraman001 It is very much capped, and -is- was a massive hassle for the highest difficulties where you need to stack those properly (furniture, potions, minions, mounts, enemy debuffs, self-buffs from weapons/equipment, etc). The limit is 22 in every platform except pc, where i was raised to 44 in 1.4.4. Making the game easier/less annoying, as you don't need to do things like disabling your pets, removing furniture/banners, or calculating how many potions you can use minus everything else

Ive been playing terraria for a pretty decent amount of time now, around 1k+ hours, ive come to this conclusion messing around with mining, Pickaxe power isnt everything, sure u can have a strong pickaxe but if you are mining the whole point is to get to the ore faster and mine the ore faster, so i always have a slice of cake, mining potions, and usually a set of miner armor in my safe or whatever, point is, i progress personally alot faster through the game for stuff in hardmode if ive been able to prepare to play quickly in pre-hardmode.

It's only efficient because of its 3x3 digging radius, its actual swing speed, and the fact that it can only mine soft tiles makes it pretty innefective to use, without any intense mining gear though, you should definitly have one on hand

A thing you missed out is that if you use the ancient chisel to craft the hand of creation another ancient chisel can be stacked for more mining speed
