Did you know you could cheese the ice golem easily for very good wings early off in hardmode? Get the impstaff prehardmode/hardmode, go to the snow biome, seal yourself into the ground/in a box And summon the imp on top of the golem! Either this, or use yoyos with 1 block wide holes or weapons that go through blocks. Every playthrough i just so this and get exceptional wings.

I, personally, have a *ton* of adoration for the spider staff. On my second playthrough, I knew beforehand how to get the spider staff, so the moment it became Hardmode, I jumped into my spider den (it was a part of my hellevator, so it only took a moment to get to), and farmed a few black recluses until I had enough spider fangs to craft myself the staff and the armor set, and I used that to push myself through those first few days of Hardmode (which I’m sure you all know are some of the most merciless), as well as those nasty pirates. I migrated to better armor after a bit, but I kept the spider staff with me for the better half of my Hardmode career, only really swapping to better minions once the Xeno Staff became available to me. So yeah, in regards to at what point you get access to it, the spider staff is definitely one of my favorites, even if it gets outclassed later on.

Pygmies have pretty good knockback and do well against the old ones army with increased knockback. It's also sometimes pretty handy to have multiple types out at once. As a little tip for when you get to the sentry staff guide. When you have armor on that increases the effectiveness of a sentry, it is applied at cast and what you have on makes no difference after it is summoned. Found this out by accident.

I wonder if there is some kind of algorithm or something because I played the game twice and I've never got the Slime staff and then this is my third time playing the game and I've got three or four of them within a few hours. I had to set up a slime statue farm to get my first slime staff. Then I made an expert world in 1.3, was running around looking for a good base location, and randomly found one in my inventory. All of my characters carry a summon staff, usually the stardust cell staff. Even if I don't get all the magic bonuses they're great at crowd control and a necessity when flying around with the drill mount since you can't use weapons while riding it. When I fight Moon Lord I use a summon potion and the bewitching table to get three minions. Also incredibly helpful during solar eclipses. XD I find the mini-Twins hilarious... You can hear the nip-nip-nip of mini-Spazmatism biting things to death. I was using the deadly sphere minionns once, in their TIE fighter shape. My mom, who is a Star Wars nut, had to laugh at them. Was equipping my summoner character once and had a sudden eclipse... Stardust cells just _wrecked_ everything. Stardust dragon is also not helpful when you're hunting rare critters... It tends to destroy them on you just by brushing against them. XD The Eye took off because it's morning, silly. They can only be summoned at night. XD That star at 20:52 tho

I use the same approach with minions even though not playing as a summoner. ^-^ Yeah I totally blanked on even looking at the time when the Eye took off, lol. xD Was using the dragon while farming Plantera for yesterday's video. Definitely can be a problem when you want to actually see what's around you before it kills the rare things. xD

I prefer the cell over the dragon. The dragon may have better dps, but it got pretty heavily nerfed, its tendency to wander off has gotten me destroyed a few times, and I like that the cells can spread over a wider area. Personal preference, though

Here’s a zombie flag trick if you need some. So basically travel until you see a deep not do deep water hole so make a ladder lane on the last block then whoop out your slime staff and spawn the slime basiclly what happens is it’s a trap for almost any mob except for mobs that can fly and that can go on walls so stand on the other side and the zombies should walk up to you fall down and watch your pet slime kill him

Actually you can only use one effectively, it's an overall timer, not individual. I just got an extra from doing quests and didn't want to stick it in a chest, lol.
