You did make one mistake in this guide, you were using post-moon lord gear, which boosted the damage output of ALL weapons, Instead of showing off their capability around the time you usually receive the weapon. For example: Generally speaking most players will have about iron/silver armor by the time they decide to break their first shadow orb, which doesn't boost any ranged. Not only that, but the Minishark with musket balls generally only does about 9-11 damage per shot, but in the video it desplays 40 on crit, and slightly lower on non-crit. The most accurate pieces in this guide are the end game guns that DO benefit from the armor you have when you get them. All around though, I do like this guide. Very informative.

The snowball cannon is definitely an honorable mention in my opinion, I got it almost right away and I was able to defeat eye and brain of Cthulhu and also the queen bee with it pretty quickly before I even got a decent sword or gun.

I know this video came out a while ago, but a thing to note about the Clockwork Assault Rifle is that its way faster on the Switch version, since the little pause in between the bursts is practically nonexistent, making it quite viable for a while!

I always use swords so wanted to change things up.

Hahaha. Well I do use the wiki as the main source of info, but I do my research and make my own outline, lol. Once in awhile the wiki is wrong about things, but it's invaluable generally. They added some config options on mobile now so that you can set the controls the way you like, including classic style. ;-)
