FYI there's a mod called Smart Doors from 1.4 that does exactly what you would think it does, and I think it would be a good idea for you to get it given the death at 8:25.

You can get smart doors as a mod and it seriously saved the modded experience for me because I could not play without it after trying it in 1.4

The reason why the giant worms may have segments of it's body grown is because the worm is technically multiple different entities at once, therefore causing some of his bodyparts larger than usual. This could work with other worm enemies.

I think it would be great to see a full playthrough of this mod or some other "stupid but fun" mod. It would be nice to have a really chilled-out playthrough that doesn't take itself seriously. Could you check out a recently released mod for Calamity called "Infernum"? It's made by one of the devs of Calamity named Dom. It's supposed to be on par with Eternity mode's boss changes and above Death mode. So far, mechs + all pre hardmode bosses are changed but there's gonna be a lot more in the future.

Hello, James! If you have Minecraft Bedrock, there's actually a Terraria addon you can try there that has way more content than TerrariaCraft, although it's not as detailed so don't expect too much. It offers bosses from King Slime to Wall of Flesh. There are structures from the Sky Island all the way down to the Underworld. The items work differently in that mod but I'm sure you'll love it once you get the hang of it. Your supporters who also play on Minecraft Bedrock would love to see you try that addon. It's called Terraria Bedrock, btw
