Made your Terrazzo Italian buttercream cake today. It came out amazing!!! I love it. This is my new favorite way to decorate a cake. Love all your tutorials.

I love this design. I lived in Florida for many years and terrazzo is a type of flooring that was used used more frequently many decades ago. It can be refinished to a glowing shine indefinitely and stays very cool to the touch indoors. It reminds me of sea breezes, jalousie windows and palm leaves...that is why adding the wafer paper palm frond to this terrazzo cake in another tutorial felt just perfect to me :) Thank you!

I really enjoy your tutorials, thank you for these! I'd like to see a nice Marble effect cake, there are many marble-ish looking cakes about but they never quite look like marble to me. I think if someone can do it properly it's you!

I want see one of those buttercream wrap videos where different mediums are used to create the texture. It looks like a buttercream base on parchment or plastic wrap with cracked fondant pieces and crunched up royal icing or candies embedded in it then applied to the cake. Freeze it some then peeled off to reveal the embedded buttercream wrap.

I came across your channel today, fantastic!!! Question every time I’ve made Swiss meringue buttercream it never sets hard like this, how do you make it firm like this? I have a wedding cake to make and I don’t want it to collapse on me. TIA xx
@FinespunCakes3 жыл бұрын
Hmm, that's strange. It has to be chilled in order to set like this. If the proportions are correct it should firm up. Try out my Italian Meringue Buttercream recipe and see if it works for you!

@@FinespunCakes hi again so when I take out of the fridge it’s hard, like it should be! But after around half an hour or so at room temperature it starts to loosen I don’t live in a hot country I live in 🇬🇧. Is this normal? X
@mabiamedeirosreis54703 жыл бұрын
Concrete cake finishing is my favorite. Specially in the dark colors like bergundy and navy blue. I like the Swiss buttercream. Easier to prepare.

Are your cakes also chilled/frozen during assembly as they look quite stiff?
@FinespunCakes4 жыл бұрын
Chilled overnight :) They soften up quite a bit once at room temperature but I keep everything very cold during assembly.
