I subscribed because your video was clear & to the point; which allowed me to feel like I was actually learning this technique instead of processing a bunch of unnecessaryinformation. Great video- thanks a bunch!

This looks amazing! Question the initial mask or covering. Was that white BC then u added the greys

Thanks! Yes white buttercream that I coloured. Use SMBC or IMBC

I love this so much! I've seen similar done with fondant where you're told to leave it out a few days to make it go dry, but I'm worried that would taste bad or have to be removed. But I assume this buttercream is still absolutely fine to eat? I think I'd like some metallic accents, or sugar crystals to look like minerals 🙂

Hi, thanks for this wonderful demonstration video. Can I use fresh whipped cream icing (instead of buttercream) to get a similar concrete effect on my cake? Could you please advise?

This tutorial is so great! I’m wondering if it would work as well with Swiss meringue buttercream? That’s usually what I use.

I think it would be difficult to use cream cheese. I'd recommend using cream cheese as the filling then my italian meringue buttercream for the outside :)

Love this! I am wondering what are the dimensions of the cake you are using to demonstrate this technique. Appears to be an 8" round but how tall? Thank you so much for sharing your talents.
