But I get Jason's point as well. You can't just look at stats. Let me lay on this scenario. It's his year to be nominated to the HOF. He finds out his wife is cheating with another man. He kills them both and their kids. He is found guilty. Do they let him in the HOF? If you're basing it on stats, then the answer is yes. He should wear the gold jacket. Of course, they aren't going to let him in. Because other factors goes into it. That's what Jason is saying. Pete Rose should be in the HOF because of his stats. No question about it. So why isn't he? Because of other factors- gambling. So what will it be? Stats only? Or Stats adding in other factors as well. Everything needs to be on the table.

Without a doubt, T.O. deserves to be in the HOF. I watched him all throughout high school and college and if he was playing against your favorite team, you knew it was gonna be a bad day. The guy SHREDDED defenders and nearly won the Super Bowl with one leg. And for someone like Jason Whitlock (whoever he is) to say that he's not a Hall of Famer is flat out stupid and disrespectful. He may have had his personal demons but who doesn't. His numbers speak for themselves and that's all that matters. Enough said!

I think the only time locker room issues, media issues, personality issues, come into play when debating whether or not a player is HOF worthy or not is when that player is an on the line HOF candidate based on his performance. Terrell Owens based off his play and numbers is far past that line and he's arguably a top 5 receiver of all time and to me that negates his non field issues. Numbers and play have negated non football issues with plenty of other players that have gotten into the HOF and Owens should be no different. Too many athletes are not given the right respect because of bad relationships or viewership by media members who truthfully don't deserve the right to vote who's should or shouldn't be in the HOF.
