Bought it 2 years ago, it's still amazing. The noise cancellation for this price point is really good. It is really comfortable. For me, my ears are going to sweat a bit. And yes, it is not really good for using in the gym, but I still use them. I reeally like the voice assistant feature. And the sony app you can use with this headphones, is really handy. You can customize your it to your fav sound. And that bass is blummin amazing. I love the bass! With that app, you can boost the bass even more! The durability is also very good. You might need to switch the ear pads, when you used it for the gym. After a while they start to look nasty. But you can pick these up for a fraction. There are also a lot of aftermarket ear pads

I bought mine a bit more than 5 years ago and they are still doing their job like new (with some earpad replacements). Sure the ANC is outdated by now, and the hinges can make squeaky noises, but for 100 dollars they sure do last.

I really enjoyed this review, it kind of summed up how I feel about my pair. We bought them for my wife 2 years ago when Best Buy had them on sale for $99. I only started using them a few months ago and now use them super regularly. I'm super impressed by them for that price. I'm also impressed that you were able to get to 6-7 hours before they get uncomfortable! They do feel uncomfortable to me in about 45 minutes. I used a pair of Surface headphones the other day and the difference with those for comfort was pretty astounding.

I tested it for you mate, heavy metal on max volume only bleeds around 30 cm (noticeable amount of music) so if you're walking/ carpooling it should be fine.

Great review man. i have these as well and I think one thing about these headphones to be noted is that the noise cancelling is not "active". ANC as such adapts to the sound around you and has not just a higher level of NC, but also adjust it "actively". The 700N just has a "fixed" noise cancelling, bearing that beyond a certain frequency, it doesn't cancel noise anymore. The noise cancelling is limited by frequency and not really active as such, so for the price, I was happy it had NC and its not really bad and like you said, not very good either :D

This is a problem for me bc i am also a musician so sometimes i need a wired headphone in order to use it in producing music. Anyway i think im gonna buy whch700 it looks fine for me. @@goktugilbegi6712 man I also had the mdrx650 and u knw they got broken,, at the joints where they turn frm,, I wanted to use superglue to attach them and ended up spoiling them,,, the superglue went allover the headphones and also went inside the power button,, I felt bad but cudnt use them anymore,, but they had a very good sound. Hope these ones too have a more way better sound than the others

@@jumsberg852 man same thing happened to me and i used cotton string for that. If you wrap them around the joints and glue the string with super glue, it is a Rock solid solution :) keep this in mind next time something gets broken :)

I'd say it do a decent job!! You may need to have the volume a tad louder but it'd def do the trick. It won't be the magical type of noise cancellation you'd get from the $300-$400 type of headphones

I got these last year for approximately £75. An absolute steal for that price. They sound really good. The noise cancelling isn't amazing - it dampens SOME of the outside noise. I wear these while mowing the lawn with a noisy mower and can still clearly hear the music without having to turn the volume up too high. I can still hear the mower but it doesn't seem as loud, and the music mostly drowns it out.

Hi! After a month of research i think this is my strongest candidate for desktop use. But i'm more concerned about the Sony Headphones Connect app. I saw some bad reviews in the Playstore about the headphones sudden volume change and bluetooth keeps disconnecting because the app crashing. According to my personal use 1. No, you don’t have to install the app to be able to connect to the bluetooth, however, the app will come in handy when you want to adjust the eq, the noice cancelling button, etc 2. Been using it for 4 months, no problems mentioned above. Cheers!

I own two pairs of these (black and blue). I've been wearing alternatively these for years now. Replacing the cups was easy and they're just as good as the day I bought them. As far as comfort goes, I disagree - I find them extremely comfortable and have fallen asleep on more than one occasion wearing them. Completely agree on the music/noise bleed. It's the only main concern/issue I have with these.

Hi, I’m so sick of searching headphones and going round and round in circles.. I want to be able to listen to podcasts, audiobooks, meditation music (that’s it, I don’t listen to any other music via headphones) but not hear the hoover or road traffic, or other people gaming in the house, if I wear them while doing some gardening or chilling in the garden will it block other people’s music or them talking? I have looked at Beats and Bose and I just keep going round and round, I don’t want to spend a load of money if I don’t have to. I would highly recommend changing out the earpads with memory foam earpads. I bought a pair for like 10 bucks, and it made it one of the more comfortable headphones I have. Sadly the earpads designed for this model are rare, so it'll cost like 30ish bucks, but I found the ones made for the 1000xm3 fit it, but it is a loose fit and moves around easily

I have a giant head and can confirm: these fit great. My biggest regret was getting grey, they look great but I'm looking into getting some replacement ear cups and can only find them in black, I'd even pay a premium to get them from Sony but alas, when they inevitably start to flake I'll either have to upgrade or have a mixed colour scheme. Frustrating but considering the price and that I don't run/workout wifh these I think I'll get a good amount of play before that day comes.

Agreed ive only owned the ch700n for about a year and its a very nice outdoor can. Not something i would use for exercise though. Sadly imo this is the best sounding of sonys wireless line up. Very nice slight V with vocals boosted to just the right amount. Also please dont lead people down the rabbit hole. People dont need $6000 cans lol.
