This is the BEST video I've seen on KZbin to clean poultry. A process that doesn't use Dawn and/or Bleach is a blessing. Thank you!

Soaking in vinegar and water also helps, as well as lemon and water. Burning the hairs also works.

Will this technique help with ensuring blood drainage? I find that chicken bought from Supermarkets has dark blood black in colour after baking/grilling. I must be doing somewhere wrong. Dont judge me i am far from a good cook. Any techniques to remove blood from particularly chicken legs and wings?

I never understood this. I don't like eating feathers and hairs so i always pluck and clean my chicken. But what if you opened the packet and dropped it on the kitchen floor? What if it'd been contaminated(Touching meats or things you cant eat for health or religious reasons) at the butchers? Or a bug got into it before sealing? cooking it will kill the bacteria yes, but the shit is still in your food lol. You wash it, then clean your sink/containers, counters and all other utensils used thoroughly. Simple.
