No one would have ever suspected such a petty color under all that dirt. Your cleaning method changes just a little from rug to rug which, for me, keeps it interesting and entertaining.

it is a technique for shaggy/long-pile rugs, known as controlled flooding. Mountain Rug cleaning has also used this technique on long-pile rugs in his videos in the past (although he no longer uses it).

I think they find rugs that have been thrown out. I can't imagine someone owning that dirty of a carpet and letting it hang out in their house and one day realizing it's not blue but a black sewage color 🤭

Probably, it would be a waste having equipment which is expensive and not getting paid for washing them. Plus he gets paid for views too.
would it not be more efficient to clean the rugs over a grate where the water can drain through? instead of it just sitting on top of the dirt?

A very beautiful carpet. I would skip this last part with hanging the carpet on the pole between two ladders. Not attractive to watch. We actually don't know if you managed to clean it. Was the water clean? We have seen nothing. I definitely prefer the older version.
@neferazure7 ай бұрын
He doesn't need to skip it. He does it particularly when a rug seems to have never-ending dirt that won't leave the rug. elevating and hanging it while pressure-washing it, allows the remaining dirt to leave and not return. He's done this with several other rugs right before sending it through the centrifuge.

I don't care if he makes them dirty on purpose, my only issue is that he cleaned this same rug 10 months ago. That's a waste of resources to me. If he gave them away/donated them after he made them dirty just to turn around and clean them, that would be one thing. But he doesn't. So to me, that's wasteful 🤷🏾♀️
@neferazure7 ай бұрын
It's actually NOT the same rug, pay closer attention to the details. The one from 10 months ago was SQUARE in shape and larger; this one is RECTANGULAR and smaller. It is possible that it came from the same SET, aka a single owner who had a set of rugs in diff sizes; that isn't uncommon especially in bathrooms, kitchens, etc. But it's NOT the same rug. He did recycle the thumbnail that was used from the older video, though. I actually checked. Whenever he does a re-post he will usually mention it in the description. This wasn't a re-post. It is indeed a different rug. Just similar in design but there are certain details that let you know it's not the same rug.
@neferazure7 ай бұрын
also, he doesn't soil the rugs purposefully. He lives in an area there there is a LOT of dirt and a lot of floods frequently. Some of the rugs are literally used outside or on bare dirt floors. Others are as a result of smoke damage (when the dirt is pitch black), and some I've seen him pull directly from autobody shops, etc (the ones soiled with oil). As an outsider looking in (if you don't clean rugs for a living, you're an outsider), then of course we can't fathom why or how a rug could get this way, but when you are someone who works that profession daily, it's a lot more commonplace for them. And especially in places with high amounts of dirt, sand, flooding in some places, fires, etc. The things they will see are different from what we will see. Example if you're not a police officer or detective, you probably don't see as many dead bodies as they might. Because you don't regularly work that profession.
