I'm glad these dancers are finally getting to tell their stories. People underestimate the level of work & endurance it takes to maintain that high energy, Hammer-style choreography for not just one song, but possibly dozens night after night, week after week. Those dancers; their style, their energy made Hammer's performances such a unique experience. Whether a smaller group like the 357 squad or 20 to 30 of them moving FLAWLESSLY in sync...man, what an era! I never got to see Hammer in person (too young for concerts at the time 😩), but it was magnetic whenever I'd watch the music videos, their performances on Arsenio, Soul Train, & the award shows. I love that African American men and women are the originators of all this dopeness.. the music, dancing, fashion, the swag ❤️ others have been inspired, and have done well, but we created much of popular culture and there's no denying that. The gift that keeps on giving

This was one of my favorite eras in rap music. I stopped listening to rap after about my early 20's, or in the late 90's. But I like the New Jack Swing, MC Hammer, late 80's to early 90's era rap and music scene. It felt special....

i loooooved Hammer’s dancers and Oaktown 357. I still listen to the songs and watch the videos. I remember her so well. She was the truth. So fly! i wanted to be a Hammer dancer. I was in the 4th grade. Hammer dancers and Janet Jackson inspired my love for dancers and choreographers.

Wow….. I always loved Oaktown 357!! They could dance their butts off!! Loved them with Hammer as well. That’s a shame that someone unplugged their equipment. I’m glad that they still did their thing on stage and once music was back on they were still in sync. Kudos lady!!👏🏾😉
