The Boris Vallejo and Gray Morrow covers are the best. Keep up the great work. Cheers Al The Goldkeyfourcolorkidownunda

Now THAT is a skull cover! Absolutely incredible, I'll have to hunt down a copy. I love all these videos I've been watching with Walt Simonson hanging out with you guys. It sort of reminds me of the Stan Lee cameo in Mallrats haha. I collected those Fright Flicks cards as well! My dad bought me a few packs from a convenience store when I was a kid and that's how I was introduced to monsters like Freddy and Brundlefly. I don't think I ever got the Predator card though, my dad introduced the movie Predator to me as "just another Arnie movie" since he was my favourite action hero back then. That framed card and pack is a fantastic keepsake to have with a great memory of your dad. Looking forward to the next one as always!
@MoncomicsАй бұрын
Hey dude! I agree on your skull cover sentiments! I can’t imagine it’s too pricey, gold keys don’t command much although their covers are awesome. I’ve had my eyes on a box of fright flicks cards unopened but they’re so expensive. Remember how cheesy their jokes were on the cards? Like they showed gory stuff but tried to make them funny so kids buying them wouldn’t be horrified lol. Thanks for following along on this adventure! I have an interesting video coming out this week, something I’ve personally never done before so stay tuned!

@@Moncomics I didn't even remember the funny sayings on the cards haha, I was so young that the visuals took all my attention but oddly made me hungry to buy more! Okay, before I start...I'm glad you're feeling better and I hope the family is well too. That said...PART 3!!! YOU'VE KEPT ME IN SUSPENSE FOR TOO LONG BRANDON!!! LET'S F"ING GO!!! 😂😂 The legendary "Simanson Lunch!!!" love the story!!! That 3D Helmet is awesome!!! Super cool!!! I have to tell you, my son is 23 years old, he isn't really into comics but very much into the celebrities and pop culture. For the last three years he's been my Con Buddy!!! It's so much fun to have that experience with him. There's nothing like it. I hope you get to experience that one day with one or both of your kids. My wife isn't the biggest fan of the hobby, but she tolerates it because she knows it means a lot to me that my son (also named Brandon by the way) comes with me to the Con. Pause!!! Writing this down...Hulk vs. Fin Fan Foom...okay...got it. Carry on sir!!! 😂 Dude, I'd bring PB & J if it meant saving some cash!!! HA HA HA!!! Brandon, thank you brother. Again, I really enjoyed your telling of your experience. I hope my experience at NYCC this year is as fun as your Terrificon was. Oh!!! I voted for you dude GOOD LUCK!!!

Hey Brandon, As promised, I am here to check out your channel, and decided to start with your latest one. Prepare yourself for the most long-winded person to comment on your channel! 😆 First off; what does M.O.N. Stand for. I am sure you have told people many times, but I would love to hear it again. I literally had to pause the video just to check out your backdrop. The Man-Thing art behind your left shoulder is SICK!! (is that what young people say instead of "Cool" nowadays)? 🤔😅 And, I enjoy that you have a lot of "Non-Slabbed" books on your wall of _Art,_ and it's nice to see you are not focused on just collecting 9.0 or higher slabs.... lastly, I could not help but be a little Jelly (another modern word I am incorporating into my lingo) of the signed CGC of MT #1 and the issue of Savage Tales #1. While I am on the subject of Man-Thing (I know you're dying to know); My personal opinion on the _"Greatest Debate in Comics",* *Man-Thing* ✅ *Swamp Thing* ❌ 😝 The rest of the video was a banger with all the legends you got to meet and do photo ops with etc! Amazing! I think the Con you went to is on the East Coast right? Wish it was closer to where I'm at; it looks awesome! All the cool DD/Charlie C. stuff you got was amazing. It blew my mind that there was a group there that witnessed signatures and Slabbed them for you too???? Holy S&^% Mon-Man! That freaking blows my mind! 🤯 This may all be commonplace to people now, but you have to know the last Con I went to was in 1986 in Laurel, Maryland when I was stationed near D.C., and there was no such thing back then. On a side note; nobody has hit me up for my DD books yet! 😉 That M.U. cover is one I didn't own as a kid! I don't even know the story inside; I would love a recap of what the story was about! The last one you showed with the Wendigo, was one I actually owned! I fell in love with his look and the legend of the curse when I first saw him in a Hulk comic. I was so glad when he made a 2nd appearance in Hulk, and I liked him better that _Guy from Canada with the kitty Kat whiskers_ on his mask at the end of Hulk #180 LOL OMGosh! Your friend from Water-Town NY!! My best War-Buddy from Desert Storm in 1990-91; was born and lived in Water Town!! It sounds like a small town, they're probably cousins! 🤭 Side Note *Twilight Zone Rocks!* Also, the Hulk vs FFF is in my collection as well; he has always been my #1 giant Marvel Monster! With this video (and your overall personality & charm of course), you have earned a *New Subscriber!* Best wishes on your journey to 2K! 😁 This video is for sure worth 4 🗡🗡🗡🗡 *Skol Brother ~ Son of Crom!*

Bjorn! I'm grateful you checked out my channel and are officially the winner of "longest comment" so thank you lol. So "MON" stands for Middle Of Nowhere as I live in upstate NY, like, wayyy upstate and have no close comic shops so my channel focuses on how I procure my comics online and I recommend fantastic sellers so others in my situation have great, tried and true sources to purchase comics from. That Man-Thing art was done for me by a member of the Codex comic Station. A great bunch of creators and an artist by the name of Dan Kelley who gifted it to me. I'm very honored to have it for sure1 And yes, Terrificon is in Connecticut. That was the first one I went to since my wife took me to NYCC in 2014 so I feel ya there! And yes, at certain shows they'll have facilitators there to witness signatures and submit you for them. The Man-thing 1 is my favorite book in my collection, signed by one of my favorite cover artists, Frank Brunner, as well as co creator of the Man-thing, Roy Thomas. It made me chuckle and happy to hear you're on the Man-Thing side, although Swampy does have his charm lol. If no one has hit you up about the DD books I'd definitely be interested in trading for those but we can discuss further in an email. I've always thought the Wendigo was a cool character as it's something taken from Native American lore and you don't see that often in comics. That's crazy you served in Desert Storm with someone from Watertown, small world! They very well could be related lol. From someone with many family members with military backgrounds, I thank you for your service to our country! with my collecting, I buy what I love and grade is irrelevant if I can own a piece of history or something that really interests me. As long as they are complete and won't fall apart in my hands but if I can get a better deal on a low grade bigger book and have it slabbed to protect it, like my Strange Tales 89, first Fin Fang Foom, then I happily will. Again, I appreciate you commenting, and reaching out to watch a video. I'm gonna binge your whole catalogue this weekend as I love your passion when talking about your comics. And I'll shoot you an email this evening regarding our possible trade. Thanks again and take care!
