Art is so CAMP I love him. He's so committed to character that he doesn't even scream when he's stabbed or hit. I thought I would hate these movies, but David Howard Thornton's portrayal of Art takes what could be a schlocky gore movie into something fun.

This whole video had my DYING fun fact: The gore is actually not cgi! Or at least very little of it is. The director Damien Leone builds the special effects himself. Very impressive

Probably already has been said, but the director confirmed Art was NOT supernatural until he was resurrected at the end there, and that Art himself wasn't expecting to be resurrected. Also, during the scene where Art is trying to strangle Tara/put his thumbs in her eyes, the reason it looks like he isn't actually trying is because the actor (David Howard Thornton) was really worried about hurting the actress. Apparently he's actually a sweetheart irl. Hope you enjoy the franchise!

Was lucky enough to meet David and Damien a couple years ago at a horror con, and I can confirm that he is the sweetest!! He actually recognized my Art art (lol) and was super excited; it’s hard to believe the same man plays this absolutely unhinged and crazy character 😭👏🏻

I do kind of like that the movie did a fake out with Tara. They made it seem like shed be the obvious final girl, but then gets unalived and it turns out to be her sister who becomes the "final girl" but at the cost of her face being made disfigured.

I was so excited to see you watched/reacted to this... Just came from seeing 3, you have to do 2 and then 3 when it comes out. What's great about these films is that starting in 2 there's a great running storyline and all the effects are in camera, not much if any CGI... Also it's more real to life because it actually takes someone a while to die from blood loss or extreme bodily damage unless it fully splays a n artery but even then it's minutes.
