i love how these shorts have such a great blend of both claymation and computer animation to create such an eerie atmosphere that perfectly matches with the horror aspects. i also love how unexpected they are, building the stories to take expected routes, only to completely converge off that path to something far more terrifying.

the first short was actually really clever to me bc when I heard about an EIGHT YEAR OLD going ALONE to visit relatives he hadn't seen since he was FOUR, I immediately thought he was going to get kidnapped, but when I saw Mr Bobo, my mind was taken away from the thought up until Mr Bobo was shown to have a camera in him. Perfect example of misdirection

There's something even creepier about CG imitating stop motion. It seems really uncanny. And there's something about the way the characters move when the shorts are mostly made up of still images, make me squirm uncomfortably
