At minute marker 5:53 is where the man enters the home. Unfortunately the security camera had only recorded 30 seconds of the footage and cut off right before that. As soon as the man entered the backdoor, Rachel and I met him and stopped him from entering the home any further. I then grabbed my firearm while trying to hold the door shut. He pushed the door open again and took a step inside. I pushed him back outside and asked him to sit down twice and he took off running.

Thank you for posting. We all need to be aware this can happen to anyone. We had a home invasion from a group of teens pretending to be CHRISTMAS carolers. Our retired military dog chased them off when they rushed into our house yelling. Our dog got a few tastes of their rear ends.

The emotional is the hardest we was home invaded but before they came to kick out n our door they would terriorize us night after night turned out electric off the last time they stood in our yard daring us to come out our door I called police told them I did there was 4 of them they just st shrugged their shoulders. My husband is disabled retired truck driver he don't take to threats hard headed and he was just diagnosed with cancer terminal prostate stage 3 so he felt he had to do something or plain just didn't give a #$#$ I begged him to wait til cops come well we live in a small town 25 to 30 min went by their still trying to break in garage and out building then come to our back door tried to break it in we turned on all lites outside they had mask on daring us again my husband ran out door I ran after him and they they are about 10 ft away taunting us so my husband turn to e said get the gun while I ran in to get it my husband ran straight at em 2 ran around house he chased them I reached down had gun in hand and something told me lock the door I just got it locked and here they was in porch and just kicked the door so hard the hinges jumped like they was going to give the door had glass window in it so I could see them I put gun to the window and told em you better pray that man is ok and if you get in here I'm gonna shoot to kill they turned and ran out back yard I went out front door to find my husband gun in hand praying he's ok heart pounding mind racing looking everywhere I was terrified as what I would find he chased them threw neighbors yard they was up and lites all on outside there in porch looking at me like I was crazy then I see my husband walking up alley all this time no cops I seen he was ok talked to neighbors assured them I called law and told them what had occured still n cops so told her I was going call them tell don't bother now but when I got inside phone rang it was them do you still need assistance I said no don't bother we just handled it our selves I guess they was right not to be worried we called you huh well just be glad I didn't have to shoot to hem or they didn't have gun and shit us the officer said they been getting prank calls and was undermanned I said well good thing I wasn't by the way there was 4 of them I don't believe what a piss poor precinct they didn't ask me come in fill out report nothing I told them ext time w just st get back words justice since their so undermanned we just won't bother to call but when find dead bodies don't ask us why or want a damn report I still have night mares to this very day and I trust no one I have 3 very large guard dogs trained it's just him and I against the elements now the land owner has sold the place we rented so can't afford these prices 27:34 rent deposit utilities all to much for him we been staying in our van trying to manage best we can afraid what's gonna come next least don't have to worry bout another home invasion but I can't sleep at nite worry all time these our sad times he drove truck 43 yrs now can't afford to rent a home for us to live out rest of our days and their out there waiting to take em away the rest of our days

A pair of night vision binoculars are worth their weight in gold. They are very affordable. Seeing in the dark will give you tremendous advantage in situations like this. Most of the chaos here was because you couldn't see. Flashlights are good, but they also light up your position. Living on a farm, you need night vision.

Glad everything worked out safely for all of you. We had a very similar experience about a year ago. Our 2 south African Mastiffs (Boerboel) came to the rescue. They each grabbed one of his hands and held him. They were quite calm about it. They have one of the strongest bites for a dog at close to 700 pounds per square inch! The guy was drunk and known by the police. He spent 4 days in the hospital. The dogs broke and chipped bones in his hands. They had never gone after anyone before. Delivery people and our grandchildren pet them all the time. The male weighs 185 pounds and the female weight is 140. We thank the Lord for your great dogs and the safe outcome for your family.

THEy are the BEST energy readers by far ! So don't be shy to be kind and socialize your dogs with every kind of person, at every age. I am so so so proud of the dogs, yes our Rika protected ourselves our neighbors pit bull came in our trailer went through our screen door. Attacked Rika my husband Ed is 68 that he had foot surgery and me I am paraplegic I ws in the back getting out of bed, I call my son 1 blk fr us he runs over I am phone with cops 3mins cops came. Pit bull attack Ed,,our Rika protected Daddy Rika jump.on top.of the pit bull, bit the neck of the pit bull, the owner comes trying get her off, cops came they hit that pit bull with a stick cops took the pit dog next they put him to sleep. So I was crying when you'll were telling ur story GOOD DOGS protected the mommy and daddy especially the kids. Amen 🙏🏻 🙏🏻 😭😭😭😭😭so proud of the babies like Lester and jami on Longhorn Lester 🙏🏻. We live our Rika as will how she protected us we give lots of love every disincentive Nov 2020..we rescue Rika from animals shelter thank God she to be baby..amen glad the ur family was ok.

On that video, you Stressed the need to get young children out of the room before viewing. You and your wife did the same in this one. Kevin and Rachel, I tend to think the best of people, and I agree, this probably wouldn't have happened without drug influence. It's a true fact that methamphetamine addicts are unpredictable. First story I saw this morning was LAPD arrests homeowner for shooting and killing one of FOUR home invaders! The man also had a grandmother and toddler in the home. I am praying that his arrest was procedural and they let him go. I always say "Don't California my country" because it's slowly getting that way. Stay safe and God bless 🙏🏼
