I agree on the magnet fishing! Not only is it fun finding stuff you're cleaning up the waterways too! _The screwdriver looks like one my Grandfather had back in the good ole days and it was old then!_ Fun stuff and some beautiful weather for you! Be careful Eric! I scraped the guardrail on Chuckanut Drive going to Larabee State Park in Washington and am stuck waiting for parts. Stairs, door, front edge, even my exhaust all got dinged by a 5-second scrape on the stone wall / guard rail going to Larabee State Park. OUCH.

Magnet fishing is fine as long as you understand the etiquette and possible laws governing it. I know in the Ohio river once you pull something out it becomes your problem to deal with. You can't just pitch an unwanted item back in. It's your responsibility to dispose of it properly. If you throw it back in you are dumping/littering.

A great deal of that part of Ohio was once a coal strip mining area. So finding metal tools and hardware at the bottom of the lake is probably pretty common. I hope that you enjoyed your visit to the Buckeye State, and will travel through our state again.

What a beautiful day it turned out to be. Love feeling your excitement, hearing your laughter, & seeing you relaxing enjoying the things you love most. I've never been magnet fishing. It reminds me of ketchup. Yep! The anticipation. Remember the ketchup commercial where they're waiting for the ketchup to come out while bellowing out anticipation. Anyhow, I would love to spend an afternoon with you, join you in magnet fishing. The evenings are nice & cool along the New River. A really nice campground you could stay at, not far from me. You could boondock here, but, I don't think you would fit coming in here. Worse than the sharp curvy road you took in that town a long while back. Enjoy your stay.
