Forever one of the hardest bands ever. These dudes deserve this resurgence they are getting and should be a household name to anyone who is into hardcore and heavy music. Pumped to hear where things go for these guys from here.

I appreciate your feedback. I do have to admit I wish I would have waited a little bit longer to interview these guys because I think I'm a little better at directing the conversation than I was almost 2 years ago. But also it's pretty hard to do research if it weren't there or don't know the people involved in the scene at the time. I have learned a lot since then and I hope to have them back eventually to dig deeper and get more of the story. If there's any particular questions you think I should have asked or would think are good for next time, I welcome them. 🙏 my email address is terrorzonepodcast@gmail.com. or hit me up on Instagram @terrorzonepodcast. Thank you for the constructive criticism.

With all due respect as much as Rawn was OG Cold as Life vocalist, Jeff has always been the most fitting vocalist. Maybe I don’t know enough, but they did seem to get harder and heavier once Jeff took over. The best hardcore vocals in my opinion. So raspy, so mean, so raw. Lol auto correct Rawn***

Too bad the documentary never happened. I watch the trailer all the time. 40 year old kid here from Sarnia, Ontario. Lucky enough to have cool parents back in the day that let us take the van to Detroit to see the craziest, most intense shows they could never dream of. CTYC. Douggie is the man. Nice, cool guy to us kids at the shows.

Rawn was my good friend from 1984 to 1988, we kind of lost touch after a fight at Bookies where he was stabbed in the leg. He was also hanging out at the time (1988)with that asshole that eventually would end up killing him. Rawn was the real deal. I have sooo many great stories…

My favorite band, grew up with CAL but there needs to be a better interview. No disrespect…but it’s obvious no research has been done and this kid was obviously too young to live the old Detroit Hardcore Days, not his fault but I could think of so many questions and just let them talk and bring back history. It’s an art to learn to listen and stop talking. Think Chronological order….you get two DHC legends in a room and need to be so prepared! Good effort and great to see them bringing up the old days but it can be so much better. Fingers crossed this kid interviewing can hone his skills and bring other legends in.

No prob bro…there’s so much history in the DHC scene. I grew up in Canton…I can see your trying really hard. Don’t get me wrong…it can be intimidating with CAL originals in the room but they are normal guys. Just talk to them….They’ve both been through things you or even I can imagine. I love your doing this and I can see soon you’ll perfect the art of interviewing! You better get Big Joey Robertson or Eric Burleson on the podcast. These both are also legends of HC/Punk that also grew up in Canton. Also get Jeff West… CAL set the stage for Canton kids getting into hardcore at such young ages. Keep it up and again…no disrespect. It’s refreshing to see someone show the importance of Detroit Hardcore in the 80’s and 90’s.

@@scottbuczek2776 for what it its worth, I smoked a bunch and did a few shots before this as well lol. Was super excited and nervous. I never talked to these guys but have seen em around before Jeff went away when they were in H8 inc. And I was 18/19 then so the intimidation factor stuck with me based on the old first impression in 2005. But yeah, there's lots of questions and ideas I have now that I know more.

It was so like every day and I still crack up

From what I heard it was a lame ass case for some money from an employer tree guy and they stuck it to him. Bullshit he got so much time for such a lame ass crime. I've been there done that. Struggling with opiates and mainly the dog for almost the last 20 years on and off. Probably 10 of the last 20 have been spun. It's a hard battle to struggle with opiate addiction. And the doctors and their oxycontin got me spun and then going to heroin made sense once the pills started to dry up. It's all by design. The system pedals pills and then pulls easy access and the same system has been really in control of all the hardcore dope. The cartels are just the lower level henchmen and fall guys.
