Here is 1 strong but unusual combo: TB + KOTL TB doesn't need a lot of mana, but since his meta isn't his ult, than KOTL' chakra will remove a bit of cooldown of it with every usage. This makes TB have his meta available every fight

Im not sure this message will reach you, but I still wanted to express my joy towards you and the series as a whole. I truly think you have an amazing view on the game, your attitude towards it and the content you make. You are not the best, but I think it speaks so highly of you, that even tho' this is not quality content (from a gameplay perspective) your humor and easy attitude transmit to the viewers. I'm not much better than you, a league or two above, but you have encouraged me to play new heroes. I think many players are afraid to try new or more complex heroes in fear of failing. Watching you try some new stuff, go into gameplay, having a good time - good or bad game, is wonderfull. Hey Grubby! I just stumble upon your channel due to youtube recomendation, and as a pretty old dota 2 player (around 10 years, excluding the original DotA) and ancient 4 it is visible how fast you learn the concepts of the game, aside from the other moba experience you have that clearly helps the understanding of what is good and what is not. As a main position 1 that i am, i'll leave some tips: - For the starting itens always try to understand and predict how the matchup and the lane is gonna be played. Remember always Terrorblade is a very low-stat squishy hero, suffering most from magic damage. Always prioritize the stats gain early on. - I really enjoy the falcon blade as you said it almost supply all the mana you will need for fighting/farming. - For the first metamorphosis at lv 1, try to guarantee every last hit (duh!) and poke the enemy as much as humanly possible to assure lane dominance and drain their regen itens so you can have more space and be comfortable farming - As the lane phase ends spread the illusion to farm multiple camps and far away lanes. BE AS ANNOYING AS YOU CAN WITH THEM! Send them to incoming waves, cut the waves behind your enemies, stall their push and you will make tons of gold and be present in the map. It is all about macroing. PS: Personally ill send the ilusion to kill the ranged creep first, because it is the most valuable gold/xp-wise. - Abuse the metamorphosis for tower damage and make every second of it worth, because while in melee form you are just a illusion spammer and a farming hero Other than that congratulations on your whole content, it is pretty enjoyable to watch and see you discovering the mechanics and interactions of the game i spent so much of my life! I tend to agree with your points, but nowadays lvl1 meta isn't as necessary as it used to. Reflection lvl1 is actually a very viable alternative. Also, TB without meta is kinda like Sven without God's strength. You don't have nearly your full potential, but when you had 30 mins of freefarm your illusions can easily kill supports even in melee form. And Sunder can turn a fight around regardless of meta. EDIT: Oh, and I would not prioritize stats over maxing out illusions.

Some of the best laning you done in the a-z so far. in some of these a-z games you are very passive on lane like with MK for example you didnt build jingu stacks or harass but this game is like night and day, very effective lane bullying to secure uncontested creeps!

Well, I do consider TB's Metamorphosis to be his actual ultimate, to the point that my friends go "oh he doesn't have meta" whenever I say I don't want to fight for a bit

To be honest, ultimate doesn't even mean strongest ability anymore It just means "the ability is too OP at level 1. Should be locked behind level 6." Examples are a ton, but the best way you can understand the concept is that know Riki's ult used to be Tricks of the Trade (now its his E) and Ench's old Q is now her ult

@@EGO.BReAKERR I get it, but still, the way I think about it is as follows: most carries that have an actual ability at lvl 6 and not a passive (think PL or drow), more often than not avoid actually fighting without it. It's the case of Juggernaut or Luna, where, while you can fight without Omnislash or Eclipse, you lack your "I win" button. I like to think of ultimate abilities as the thing I can't do without for a fight, and, in the case of TB, I'm more than willing to fight without sunder, but no way in hell I'm getting anywhere close to a fight without meta. My point is that, since sunder works in niche situations, with a bit of rework or rescaling, it could easily be a basic ability. Metamorphosis is TB's "I win", and having it available from lvl 1 is, imo, quite OP. Terrorblade relies a lot on it, to the point where a wasted or bad use of meta lategame means, most of the time, a lost game. That's the kind of impact I personally expect from an ultimate ability, and sunder doesn't feel like that. On a sidenote, I like TB's Scepter a lot. 10s Meta plus a huge fear effect is enough to win a fight in the right conditions, AND you still have your full duration meta available.

Little bit of information for Grubby. I heard someone say you can sunder during AA ult. There are effects known as "hp removal" that cannot be resisted by any means whatsoever. My first experience with this mattering was dying to necrophos during abaddons ult. I thought surely, I should be healing from the aura. But it simply just removes your health. I think this has been changed now, because necro was too powerful they nerfed it to magic damage. There are various "health increases" that both will and wont work against AA ult. I'm not sure of which ones do or dont, I'd imagine maybe Lone Druid's ult increasing his health could work through AA ult but I could be wrong. Sunder is a health swap plain and simple, rather than dealing damage and healing, you are just set to that percentage. No heal reduction stops it or reduces it. You have to block the effect or stop the cast to resist sunder. If you want to know about all of the rare mechanics, the wiki does have a lot of lesser known mechanics listed out. I think you mght have seen some by the end of the A-Z challenge, I know these arent current date videos.

Sometimes it depends on a threshold like Axe call or Necro ult. For example if Abbadon is under threshold he still dies to Axe. Some mechanics are a bit confusing but they do follow logic still.

The other fun interaction with Aba's ult is that it only auto procs if the procing attack leaves you with some health. IE if you are at 450hp, then Lina ults you, you will just die. Because the damage dropped your to 0hp.

Hey Grubby heroes like terrorblade and undying have great synergy with phoenix aghanim sceptor as their main ability is not their ultimate but tombstone and metamorphosis which get refreshed

the longer mantacd for ranged was removed a while ago. making that tooltip moot (as I think there are no other item with a longer ranged cd).

I rarely play TB but I always win with him and my build is different than others which is Vanguard then Abyssal Blade after Skadi (Ring of Health first for regen) with Abyssal Blade, u not completely useless without metamorphosis and u more tankier on melee mode so u have better chance to Sunder.

TB is one of the most picked carries because 1. Extreme agi gain, resistant to physical dmg 2. Fast farmer due to conjure image taking advantage of base dmg from agi 3. Relatively safe hero to play, due to sunder making gankers think twice 4. Extremely tanky late game because he usually builds HP and stat boost items By 20 to 23 minutes you can have manta and skadi -- the time when you can finally go out. At this point you would have outleveled and outfarmed everybody, you will melt anyone while on metamorphosis

My favorite carry by far Falcon eye, yasha, dragon lance Then depends how the games go Manta if we're winning and need pushing, skadi if we're losing and need to tank. Then get the other After either those 2 items then get butterfly or BKB No one can beat us. The ultimate late game carry

39:50 This is a typical tier 4 high ground dive. You will do good to remember it as the most important, yet undervalued, lesson of any bracket's Dota. You are snowballing 5 vs 4 in a 20 to 1 game, with a free farming TB. That was the only chance of throwing a game that you could have been stomping with a 99% win rate. This is the 1% bad decision that will lose you hundreds of games until you learn the lesson. You will need discipline and patience not to get baited as a dog after a ball for such high risk - low win traps, but if you endure and stay focused, in correct siege formation with your team, giving respect to high ground advantages (vision, armor, tower damage, fountain and shop closeby), comeback mechanics and the desperation moves of your stomped enemies to trick you to overextend,... you will win, and most importantly, as a carry, you will have *done your job*. Remember, supports win their team the lanes, then mid and offlaners win their team the mid game, so you can stay back and safely free farm all game, with the sole objective to win your team the game. Not to kill enemies, not to humiliate them with your unmerited farm and levels, not to showoff like a douche, but to keep that momentum flowing, taking objectives and trades from a position of power, until you eventually end the game. A carry is a five men team's investment, and your diligence and discipline are the only way to reward their efforts for the first 40 minutes of the game. If you dive and feed, you will have disrespected their time and effort, as well as being the sole reason to lose the game for all five of you.

Sage mask is fine (stick is probably better though because tb has a low base hp), its actually probably good with getting reflection level 1 as its a bit more spamable, Falcon blade is good many pros are currently going falcon blade > basilius!

The reason you buy Basilius over Falcon is that it's 1.5mr for 425g vs 1.7mr for 1125g + 200hp and 14dmg wich don't transfere to illusions AND both items are none upgradeable for TB aka something you sell asap wich wastes 700g. 14dmg and 200hp are good but not 700g good @Grubby Love the content btw ^_^
