She’s one of the only artists whose dancers we know by name. She makes them stars too by letting them in the forefront and letting them show who they are. “The Kids” are an integral part of the Janet history.

Finally, Barry Lather getting his props as being one of Janet's choreographers during the "Control" era. Ppl kept giving Paula Abdul credit but not Barry. Ppl had no idea that Barry choreographed the dance moves for the "Pleasure Principle" video. Still to this day. In my opinion, the Pleasure Principle video is one of the greatest music videos of all time. I have yet to see a female dance music video that can single handedly compete with that video.

People knew that he choreographed the P.P. video. I knew when the video made its debut that Barry was the choreographer. Videos back then often listed who directed and who did choreo. I'm not sure why you thought otherwise. We knew who Barry was and what he worked on.

I always remember the Control era as one of my own personal great moments in my life as an amateur dancer and performer! JJ song The pleasure Principle was one of my staple dance songs n the remix version? Janet is a such a doll and we have Joe and Katherine to thank for her, MJ and the rest of the Jacksons with their laid back and humbleness. And for J. to ALWAYS be legitimately praised by her dancers, choreographers, fans, Jimmy and Terry, just goes to show how wonderful she is as a human being. I'm so glad I got to choose her as my FAVORITE Artist, because there are none like her...and her humbleness is consistent. It's not off and on, here and there, it's like always. Her giving back, doing concerts and donating the proceeds and not forgetting where she came from and who she is, is why she continues to stay blessed. Gods calling on her life is paying off ten fold and I can't wait to see her this Friday, Again....I saw the first leg and now it's time for the 2nd and I'm there...going to be screaming until I'm hoarse like I am at all of her shows I've attended.

Janet helped so many....too many to count, with their singing, dancing, and music video directing careers. Even the tour crews who worked with janet and traveled with her gained experience and job offers to work on other tours. Her hair, wardrobe, and makeup artists too. Everybody on her team through the years. When their pathways crossed with janet's, it was the best thing to happen to them because not only did it help with their professional careers, but they got a lifelong friend out of janet too.❤😊

I came across this video, only because I did a search on Barry Lather. I also noticed, who's ever filming, only seemed to show Janet from the back, (possibly by Janet's request (?). But good to see Terry as well.

Janet Jackson was not the original singer that Flight Time pitched the control project to. They wrote the Control project for the female lead singer of a group called Atlantic Star ⭐️ She turned it down because she felt that the tracks were to frantic & bouncy . So Janet stepped in & the rest is history.

Record labels have the power to scrub the net clean of documented evidence. So 🫵🏽 can believe it or not, it is a Fact. They had to coach her to sing. Janet had to reach to hit some of those dramatic vocal tones. She is not a gifted singer. Janet coat tailed MJ to stardom. He even gave her some of his songs to boost her career. She is not a natural dancer. She was choreographed by one of the best to do it for her RYTHM NATION Film & Tour. Do your homework & get back with a real OG. 🫡
