This is a pretty cool transitional show for Terry. It was recorded at a benefit show, The Rolling Coconut Review Japan Concert in Tokyo that was a benefit concert for “Japan Celebrates the Whale & Dolphin - the Seas Must Live” event by The Dolphin Project in 1977. Many artists were there, including Jackson Brown, and steel & slide master David Lindley accompanied both of them on the shows. He always toured with Jackson Brown and he had played on Terry's earlier albums and some live shows.
This show has songs from Seeds of Memory which came out in 1976, but also some great early versions of songs that were later to appear on Rogue Waves in 1978. Rogue Waves was a much harder edged album for Terry, and to hear these songs as played with a more laid back approach is just fabulous.
I found a good article on the show online, but it seems YT won't let you put a link in the description.
Tracklist:
1. Brave Awakening
2. All I Have To Do Is Dream
3. Baby I Love You
4. Walk Away Renee
5. Ain't No Shadow
I do not own the rights to this, just a fan who wants to share Terry Reid's mid career talent with the world.
