Years ago, I posted this song to my Twitter stating that I didn't know how I missed such a great song when I was growing up in the 70's. To my surprise he replied to me thanking me for the post. What lovely gesture.

I had it happen with Peter Hook on Reddit way back. I missed an AMA. Like two days after I posted a comment.. kinda baring my soul a bit, about how JD and his bass playing were very helpful in me not losing control of things and I was able ti stay afloat. He replied about an hour later saying something like “wow, I appreciate it and am honored we could help you mate” and I about melted in my chair. I remember I saw it on a particularly rough day at work on a quick smoke break and rest of the day I was so calm.

I also never heard of Terry Reed until The Devil's Rejects DVD, and I don't know how I didn't ever hear this in the 70s Rob Zombie. Had a Hellish Soundtrack for that movie.

The extra verse at the end of the video that’s not on the original is incredible. This version is my favourite. God Bless Terry Reid

One legendary gentleman. He’s made some of the most emotional and heavy-hitting music I’ve ever heard, as well. I’ve also heard that he’s one of the kindest and most humble men you’d ever meet. Bless you, Terry Reid. ❤

I was there. Fantastic gig and so great to see Terry since it had been postponed twice. Well worth the wait. Amazing to see such a spectrum of ages from 20 year olds to 70 year olds like me. Bless you Terry.

I've been listening to him since 1969. I can still hear a glimpse of who he used to be. I had his Terry Reid Album poster over my dorm bed. He's so underrated!

I remember when my dad busted this out of his vinyl and said listen carefully son. In 86 I was 5 hearing this song for first time when days are tough I listen to it during long drives up the mountain roads. I love that I got the dad I did. Still have the album on vinyl. Thanks Terry

I was shocked at how Terry has aged since last I saw him in 1973. Then saw myself in the mirror and realised how time has ravaged us both...and yet...the music... and the vibe...are ageless!

I was on the radio in Charlotte NC in the mid 70’s. I played Terry all the time. Our audience loved him but he never got traction in other markets. His record company completely dropped the ball. They really never worked it. Very sad. He deserved a big audience.

It’s so strange to see him at this age. He’s obviously lost some of that incredible, mesmerizing voice, but the song still sounds great. I admire that he’s out there performing. Still, this gives me such a bittersweet feeling.

Terry Reid is a legend. A man WAY ahead of his time. A visionary. One of the greatest songwriters of his generation if his extensive musical credits are taken into account. Arguably one of the best and most creative guitar players walking the planet in 2023. There arent enough superlatives to described Terry. You are lucky to have seen him play.

I've been listening to him since 1969. I had a Terry Reid Album poster over my dorm bed. He is so underrated. He plays an acoustic guitar much better than this. Listen to his "May Fly", "July", "To Be Treated Right" and "Bang Bang" from very early albums. Rob Zombie made him relevant to later generations including my son. But he's always been a great writer snd musician. 0:02

Great energy in his old age but he looks like just this regular elderly white guy. That would be funny as hell if it was just a very crazy old British guy who knew how to play and sing the old Terry Reid parts, said cheers and just ambled down the sidewalk after the gig, where Terry Reed was running late and then can be like "whaddya mean who are you, I'm blummin well Terry Read, innoy?
