Hi, Terry... my solution to using stabilizer for decorative stitching is a what I call a "solvy soup" ... use left over WSS .. put in a jar with a small amount of water and some rubbing alcohol , take a paint brush and paint the "soup" where you are going to stitch, let dry and iron with a dry iron. Make your solution as thick as you want... it washes out nicely ..I taught heirloom sewing years ago and this solution worked wonderfully. Of course, it can be used only on washable fabrics.
