Morrowind theme has a nice touch of melancholy. Oblivion's all bombastic and glorious and Skyrim is adrenaline filled barbaric shouting. Love all three but Morrowind is my favorite.

The regret in that song is amazing. Almalexia and Sotha Sil had their deaths coming, a shame you couldn't kill Vivek as well.

@@PeterReid1993 Couldn't? What makes you say that? You can kill literally anyone you want to in Morrowind. Sure, the game hits you with the "Nuh uh, reload a save" message but if you're doing it after you finished the Main Quest it's a non-issue. Heck even if you do it before he gives you Wraithguard it's not game over, there's still the backdoor quest where you get Yagrum Bagarn to jury-rig it. Vivec's fate in the lore is pretty muddied after the events of TES3 and we don't see him again so it's entirely possible he's dead, and elves live a long time even without divine power (I think Divayth Fyr is older than any of the Tribunal) so he'd have still been alive by the events of Skyrim if the Nerevarine hadn't killed him, surely.

@@PeterReid1993 I'm also not sure to what extent the Tribunal really had anything coming. They're not purely evil. They're all mortals, with the flaws thereof, and not meant to have divine power, but evil isn't a word I'd use to describe them. Arguably the worst thing they did was potentially betray Nerevar at Red Mountain, if you believe certain tellings of the lore. Vivec was rather selfish for, rather than destroying Baar Dau, leaving it suspended above the city and telling the people that it would only stay there for as long as they loved him, that's a fairly evil action I think and is directly what led to the Red Year, but Almalexia was driven insane by the loss of her divinity and Sotha Sil was, as far as I can tell, just content to stay in his labs and tinker.

Grałem w tę grę jak miałem 13lat. Wtedy przeżywa się inaczej. Dopiero co dostałem swój pierwszy PC i znałem gry ze szkolnych mc-dos i win95 . Morowind mnie URZEKŁ, świat, historia i ta muzyka, nigdy później gry nie robiły na mnie takiego wrażenia. Te problemy z questami, te pojawiajace się zza mgły nowe miasta, ta nowość otwartego świata. Wtedy to była nowość. Teraz gdy 30 na karku nowe gry choć nie wiem jak dopieszczone nie robią takiego "wow", jednak muzyka pozwala znowu przenieść się do tego beztroskiego dzieciństwa

This cover made me realize something I've never put my finger on about the Morrowind theme vs the Skyrim version - they're ostensibly the "same" song (in as much as the many versions of the crystal theme are "the" Final Fantasy song), but the feels for the two are totally different. Skyrim sounds like a song of power, a chant of force and even defiance; it sounds, in its way, like the chorus of a call to war. Morrowind, on the other hand, is much more sombre and even haunting comparatively. It's always made me simultaneously comforted and a little sad - like a bittersweet homecoming; in the context of the games' stories, both are very appropriate, but I'll always prefer Morrowind's. Beautiful work with it!

Morrowind is my favorite game of all time, and you've really captured the essence of the awe-inspiring world, filled to the brim with things to discover, people to help, and evil to vanquish. Morrowind is a story of becoming a champion after starting with nothing but the clothes on your back, a prisoner born on a certain day to uncertain parents, filled with hope and fueled by the hopes of the people the Nerevarine sets out to protect. There was a saying in the Elder Scrolls modding community shortly after Oblivion came out - Oblivion is a playground, Morrowind is home - and this cover really makes you feel like you're home, you've returned to Vvardenfel, and are ready to set out on the hero's path once more. Absolute masterpiece of a cover.

Morrowinds theme, unlike Oblivions and Skyrims, portraits an prophecy, an conjuction of events syncronizated by divine causality. Its like the aura of the Nerevarine, his anthem. Its a poestry to his difficult starts, or his awakening. To his highers achievements and reaches. It tells the story of a nation´s desire of freedom, laying in the shoulders of an incarnated saint. A single living being. Thats why this particular OST brings many beautifull emotions to my heart.

@@chupasaurus тогда, чтобы никого не обманывать, скажу, что у меня тоже во всех записях всегда присутствует некоторое количество виртуальных инструментов. Я этим тоже грешу, например тут есть партии смычковых и перкуссии, сделанные при помощи библиотек семплера Kontakt) Но с годами я потихоньку сокращаю их роль, и всё больше звуков в миксе воспроизведены настоящими инструментами.
