Fun haul ! Fun to see some Christmas items in the mix. I’ll have to check and see if we have some holiday-decorated paper towels. We use them as dinner napkins as well as cleaning cloths in our house, so it would be fun to find festive ones. Looking forward to seeing this week’s meals, kind Cheryl ! Thanks for the vid. ❤️🌹🎄

3:59: They sure are big 'onions'!! Don't worry, I have moments when I'm on a roll and the wrong word comes out! I have to admit though that the mere sight of that Bird's custard made me so homesick for 'the Good Old Days'! We can't get Bird's here in Tasmania - at least, not where I shop. But there again we only have the choice of 2 big supermarkets.... ho hum! Hope you have a great Christmas and the weather isn't too bad! Unlike Australia, where the temps are leaving 40 degrees in their wake! Just remember, when it's cold, you can always put another jumper on or get a cuddle blanket out. What do you do when it's too hot - and you've taken everything off?!

Hi Cheryl. Have you ever used the Maggi seasoning packets? There’s a roastabag and a sachet of seasoning in the packet. Put your meat and any vegetables plus the seasoning into the bag. Pop into the over for an hour and it’s done. I can highly recommend them. Thank you for all your videos x

I've been a (mostly) Sainsburys guy for the last few years purely out of convenience, but having just moved house I'm about to revert back to Tesco (again out of convenience - they're the closest). Thanks to these videos I feel like I've been accidentally keeping up to speed with their ranges, so hopefully won't be too much of a culture shock.

I have started to watch your shopping videos regularly, so much fun seeing it tie up with your meals' videos. Yesterday here in Christchurch it was 2 degrees hotter than where our son lives in Saigon, in Vietnam. Too hot to do Christmas baking. Today it will be 10 degrees cooler! Weird!

Aldi here had some absolutely fabulous brown rice tortilla chips. They were gluten-free but they have stopped making them. The multigrain tortilla chips are okay but not as good as those brown rice ones

Is custard powder like our Jello instant pudding in the US?

No it’s for pouring over puddings ( steamed or baked) and sweet pies. You can make it thicker so it sets to put on things like trifle but it becomes a bit firmer than your pudding. It an instant take on Crème anglais. It is lovely to eat . Smooth and silky, I do prefer it hot though.

Corn chips! here is an idea after Robbie Burn night we always have a bunch of Haggis loose meat left over , we make 3 (and lets be honest it isn't really popular) But if you use HAGGIS meat on Nachos it is pretty damn good with cheese and salsa how about you make that on the channel?_
