Great conversion! One question: how does the DC to DC converter work on an electric motor? I thought that was only possible for ICE.

DCDC converts the 400V in the traction battery to 12V in the started battery

How much weight does this add to the vehicle?

Our 2023 e30 conversion is the same weight as the original, and all in the same location. Our 2023 e60 conversion adds about 180kg.

Thanks. I am considering this. How much of the 75 worth of batteries need to go inside the main cabin? We have some nice cabinet work and storage I wouldn't necessarily want to compromise

Hi Mark, for the conversion itself, this project cost approx. £55k. We sourced this vehicle and fitted the interior too so this was an entire project. Keep an eye on edubconversions.co.uk for updates to packs, costs and options
