Tesla is very focused on USA FSD at moment, unfortunately the uk and Europe seem to be a bit neglected with the major updates but I still have hope for a beta or something in the uk that would be a revolution haha 😂 also Such a beautiful area you where driving through clean and well maintained roads and beautiful houses and countryside 🙂👌 have missed your videos mate.

Keep the vids coming! And I agree, there's a long long way to go for FSD on all UK roads, if ever. I suspect it may get allowed only on very specific roads that meet certain standards. Some of the basic things it still gets life threateningly wrong, baffle me too.

Nice that you’re back! I’m quite disappointed of the FSD here in Europe. To be honest I’m thinking of not adding it on my new Tesla MS Plaid. Perhaps it’s bang for the buck in the US. But it’s definitely not worth it for me. I know it’s the European regulations and not Tesla’s fault.

@@denischick2519 To be honest, the AP has not improved that much over the last five years. My first MS of 2015 could do almost what my new MS with FSD can do. I’m not optimistic regarding the upcoming improvements that European regulations will allow my next car to do...

I paid for FSD in late 2018 here in the US on my M3. I knew it would be quite a wait, but now at 2.5 years and it is still at least a year or two from true hands-off FSD. I’m patient, but I think Tesla will have legal issues if they cannot deliver this to those who paid for it before too much longer.

@@rich1383yt I think that you can imagine that I’m quite impatient. The FSD is like $9000 and Summon, NOA, ALC and Traffic light/ stop control is a joke. Don’t get me wrong, I love my Tesla but the driver assistance system is not worth it in my opinion.

Good to see you back. Firstly, I should point out before I get flamed that I do thoroughly enjoy your content and appreciate what you do for everyone. However, I do think that you’re expecting too much by trying to use navigate on autopilot on city streets, it’s not really for that. I do think the car will drive itself on city streets at some stage, regulations permitting, but it will be using the FSD software that is currently being tested in the US (and I hear that it might be coming to Germany soon as well but I am not sure whether that’s just a rumour)

Would be great if you could continue to put it on in all situations where you know that it will not be capable to continue by itself, the corrective actions you take are learned by the system and it will speed up the improvements in UK. Actually, we need more people getting into it so that it gets to improve much faster. You can't expect it to improve if you expect others to do it for you, that is the strength and weakness of such an advanced system, the learning speed depends on the amount of miles driven. BTW, "You" is just as a way to say (explain) for the public expectations, so not directly pointing to you 🙂 Thanks for the video!👍

It would be nice to see a checklist / scoreboard of what is good / okay / flaky - I’m guessing motorways are now fine, getting on/off - okay, nice junctions - okay, tight corners, off-centre junctions/roundabouts - not good. And then monitor this over time to see the advancement.

If you want to show us more self driving videos, but frustrated by the lack of progress in the UK from Tesla's FSD, could you show us how the other car manufacturers are doing in the UK in comparison? Take advantage of test drives? How far along they are, how much are they catching up, or are they also held up by regulations etc would be very interesting. I know the channel is called Tesla Driver, but you can still compare other cars to the Tesla ;)

Others catching up? BMW and Mercedes are both way BETTER than Tesla, why they don't promote them more I have no idea. My Mercedes will auto adjust speed to road limit (up and down) with no intervention for me, if it sees a speed sign ahead it starts to slow before you get there. It slows for rounabouts, turns and junctions. On dual carriageways it faultlessly does auto lane change. It works perfectly at all speeds and rarely needs intervention. not perfect, but still way way better than Tesla AP. I test drove a Model 3 with FSD and was so so disappointed at how bad/unreliable it was compared to the Merc. I was constantly having to take over. I also tested the BMW i4 recently and the driver professional setting on that was also brilliant even if a bit more cumbersome to use than the Merc.

After 18 months of driving our Model 3 Long Range, we’ve come to the sad conclusion that the Full Self Driving option was a complete waste of money. The car itself is still an absolute delight to drive but... you’ve got to be damn careful where to engage Autopilot. And here’s the heart of the issue: FSD *nearly* works. And that’s what makes it so damned dangerous. We’ve had enough of the heart-stopping moments where the car inexplicably brakes, swerves unnecessarily and worse, aborts where you least expect this to happen. My challenge to Elon still stands. Demonstrate FSD negotiating The Magic Roundabout in Swindon without hitting anything or aborting and requiring a manual drive to extricate it. Tesla Full Self Driving here in the UK? It’s never going to happen is it?

Happy to see you’re back! Really unhappy with the limitations imposed to Tesla by EU/UK regulations but also a big “shame on you, Tesla” by still selling its FSD package in the UK for that astronomical amount of money and a fraction of the capabilities... 🙄 A Tesla representative told me, when I was ordering my Tesla: “don’t buy FSD; it’s not worth it... yet! At least not here in the UK!”.

@@denischick2519 You might be right, but I am a bit pessimistic with regards to FSD in the UK, as per all regulatory issues and the timeframe to sort them out! Plus, the “old” issue of FSD not being transferable to a new Tesla, if you replace it before FSD is a thing in UK and you end up having to buy it... again! Well, I guess no one knows for sure! Love the concept, love FSD Beta... but we’re really behind here in the UK. 😩😫

Europe and the UK are on the edge of approving level 5 autonomy for testing, in fact the UK may now go before Europe. It just needs a bit more time. I’m excited to be in on the whole development with my M3, we are in a unique position, nobody else is anywhere near.

Very nice video. I have enhanced autopilot. The only benefit I find is the parking facility. Anything else not needed. I had a courtesy car during my service with full FSD but found stopping at every traffic lights irrespective of whether on red or green very annoying- waste of time. My biggest annoyance is the phantom breaking on city streets with parked cars on either side. Have tried other cars such as polestar 2- no phantom breaking- this is actually tempting me to change my car as I like to use cruise control nearly all the time to avoid speeding. Also passengers hate it when the car suddenly tries to break- it makes whole Tesla experience bad.
