Hybrids made a lot of sense 10 years ago when a 15kW LiIon battery cost >20,000! They no longer make any sense so I agree with your statement as of today.

@@334LIVING no carbon monoxide poisoning in my driveway to my family. wife doesnt have to visit a gas station or a charger unless we are traveling. charging is super cheap. virtually no maintenance. car does more than half of my daily driving with the free software and is extremely safe. cleaner air. i always get into a preconditioned car that has a full battery. fun to drive. etc. etc. etc.

@@airbreath carbon monoxide? There are more cars than any time in history and people are living longer. Batteries are made from chemicals so that means there will be degradation oh there will be battery degradation, and the battery replacement is more than some of these cars are worth. If you are an environmentalist what are you going to do with those toxic packs after use is up?

Tesla force low price from battery manufacturers with their 4680. If they don’t get low price they will start ramping up their own battery. Other companies like ford, GM , Rivian all are subject to battery market price!

Nice video as always Randy. My comment on the hybrids is it's an attempted soft landing for legacy auto (supported by Fed. government). And any of the popularity of hybrids vs pure BEVs is just due to the fact that our population in general is severely, and purposefully misinformed by petroleum and legacy-auto lobby power. And I should add uninformed about the truth of BEVs. Tesla does not fight the campaign of lies about BEVs with any scaled counter campaign of truth or information on BEVs and renewable energy. The only truth about BEVs and Tesla comes from KZbinrs like you, and no disrespect intended, you don't have the audience numbers like mainstream mass media does. Would not be that expensive if Tesla advertised for true information and it would help catalyze the transition to BEVs and renewable energy.

EU may generate more power from "green" sources than "bad" sources, but how much energy do they consume in total? Do they generate as much as they use or what percentage of each source supplies how much used? They import a lot of oil and natural gas don't they, or don't they? The statement of their green energy success is carefully crafted. I don't trust the statement as presented.

The other question is about heating. What percentage of heating is provided by natural gas, coal or burning other fuel.
