For sure. But Boston Dynamics has adopted an analytical approach, rather than Tesla which is trying to do this purely with machine learning. I think that’ll give them an initial lead, but it’ll make it hard for them to expand economically. Eventually Machine Learning will catch up and once that’s the case it’ll just shoot off to the stars.

I apologize, but as of my last knowledge update in September 2021, there were no official announcements or information about a Tesla Bot. Tesla primarily focuses on electric vehicles, energy products, and related technologies. It's possible that there have been developments or announcements regarding a Tesla Bot since then, but I wouldn't have access to that information. To get the most up-to-date information on any Tesla Bot developments, I recommend checking Tesla's official website, press releases, or reputable news sources for the latest updates.

Boston dynamic do not have a general purpose AI. The software is the cool part of these bots imo. These bots are meant to be workhorses, send them down to buy groceries for you, water the plants, feed the dogs while you are on vacation. Cook your dinner, clean your home, wash your clothes. And if there is no work left for it, you let it mow your neighborhoods lawns for some profit etc.

@@quantumblur_3145 yeah, now. that's what it is now. Let's think about the following: LLMs learn about how to write plausible text with millions of lines of text as input training, but they have no understanding of how that text relates to the real world. Now we put something with deep neural net into millions of robots and train them on real world data. They start accumulating and integrating real world experience to make predictive outcomes and navigate in the real world. With that a lot of the limitations of modeling only in silico or limited experience fields are removed.

Imagine if both bots were piloted by people in full-body-tracking VR setups. That'd be a hybrid of Robot Wars and long-forgotten gladiatorial tournaments and would open up a slew of innovations in that area. Would be even more hilarious if people were able to pay up for remote connection if they had a VR setup so Esports could reintegrate to reality. Think about it; these kinds of robots, dressed up as characters, blasting eachother with either paintball-based or laser-tag-based weapons. That'd be fun. Or just a challenge where someone has to use one of them to do something (or as many things as possible) before the battery runs out.

Robots can now learn from experience and adapt to new situations, making them versatile tools in a wide range of industries. This ability to learn from experience is a key factor in enabling robots to help with complex real-world tasks, from assisting the elderly with chores and daily activities to performing jobs that are too dangerous or unpleasant for people One way for robots to learn from experience is through direct trial-and-error learning, where they explore variations on their existing behavior and then reinforce and exploit the variations that give bigger rewards. Another way is through model-free reinforcement learning, where robots pool information about their successes and failures in the world To enable robots to learn from their own experiences, researchers have installed some basic predefined knowledge into the robot based on logic Experts and scholars from the robotics, learning, and knowledge representation communities have also discussed current approaches to robots learning from experiences Recent advances in robot learning have shown promise in enabling robots to perform a variety of manipulation tasks and generalize to new situations The implementation of automatic generation of domain knowledge has also been explored

@kameljoe21 Жыл бұрын
FSD works qutie well from what I understand. Its just every rare thing they are working on. There is only so much they can do with the money they have. Imagine if you gave Tesla 1 trillion dollars to invest only in their FSD and robotics. They would likely hire out 2 or 3 million people for 100k jobs, then spend the rest in computers and space.This amount of people would be data teams that should be able to fill the gap in short time to review every case ever comes in from those FSD. Then using live modeling and turning on every single Tesla FSD for more data and asking people to take more trips not only in the city yet all over the place, rural areas as well. Using the gps and maps requesting people who live near or can drive near said area where a tesla has never gone usind said data to improve the already known model. This many people working would help to drasticly improve fsd, AI and anything else they are working on. Really its about how much work they need to do and how there is not enough money. They can only go so far right now.
