This is why Tesla needs to add ultra-advanced lidar to its vision system for better possessing as when it is too dark or bright vision disengaged with ultra-advanced lidar would be able to fill in the gaps for those instances

I don’t know… speed control is still an issue. FSD is reading the speed limit sign but I don’t know why it can’t follow that speed or at least 2 to 5 mph above it, and slows down to 30mph in 50mph roads in early morning conditions without much traffic and barely any other cars in the road.

I think it’s taking the approach of “follow the heard” as not all areas follow the same strict speed limits. I know that applies to most of Cali at least but not sure about else where

I’m on 24.32.6, with FSD 12.3.6, hoping to get 12.5.4.1 soon. The speed control is flawed, and I had a major phantom brake, going from 40 to 25, and I thought “WHY?” Was it the tree shadow across the road, the large trash bag full of roadside maintenance clippings? No, it was just letting all the traffic pass me on the left, so FSD could change lanes into the left lane. I had just curtailed the Max Speed a mile and a half earlier because it was going a bit fast on local boulevards, where police patrols are more restrictive about speeders near parks. So, the phantom brake incident was the consequence of me trying to influence FSD with superior local speed enforcement knowledge. Which, of course, the experienced human driver will always have. Still, that was an abrupt and noticeable change in speed behavior because I didn’t want the car to “go with the flow of traffic” on boulevards adjacent to a City Park. But, that incident aside, the lack of smooth acceleration in residental areas is still a peeve of mine.

Half the time im on the pedal accelerating on autopilot because it wont stay up with the car ahead of it after a stop…

It came with 2023.32.3 and wider with later point releases. It’s possible yours didn’t include it for whatever reason and you’re waiting for the next update. But are you sure you checked for this option?

They need to rush me to 1, because I'm about to stop paying for this since the 12.5.4 update. I had so much of a better experience before this update! But since then I've had phantom breaking so bad. I'm an Uber driver and it scares the hell out of me and is going to scare the hell out of my customers. It also does not want me to drive with a hat on, which is a whole new experience. A hat helps the wind keep from blowing it. Literally those two things have made this experience so bad that I would rather just go back to the previous update. But of course you can't do that. So if I don't get the 1 version before the 13th, I will be no longer paying for it. I also forgot to mention how it is a lot less confident pulling in front of someone that's oncoming traffic. And now it's back to the original jerking the steering wheel as it's making turns. What a regression!

helpful hint for those suffering with vision monitoring at night (which is typical Tesla garbage) to fix the idiotic fail of not sufficient light (imagine a goof doing this and knowing it doesn't work at night in the dark just pure Tesla goofball) but get the driver vanity light on and the push the visor almost all the way up..sufficient light to keep the vision monitor "green".

Thanks for the video and not being one of those pig FSD fluffers (dirty, marsman, etc) who pump constant WABS..FSD death which you call Camera Abort System is a reason i want my money back..heavy rain, heavy and light fog, heavy snow, sun, lightly sand storms, or anything else that can occlude mis-placed occlusion suseptible camera'..it is IMO a physical/design failure and while AI can help on the stupid deaths, i doubt they can solve the problem, or like with the vision monitoring system will cause other failures...so vision monitoring works except when it is night (without i assume city street lights) and direct in-your face sunlight, and the failures are immediate WTF moments...garbage software, but better today 12.5.4 than it was before, but still garbage given the Tesla touts..recent improvement less but still phantom braking on highways, return to lane now not always 30 seconds, fails to pass less but still occurring, off ramp still absolute garbage
