Merci.

Are you actually using that Wehnelt interruptor? Very cool!

We are happy to know that you enjoyed our videos. Your appreciation is very important for us. It is true that the Braun /Siemens & Halske set is really an exceptional piece, also considering that it is absolutely complete. About your question: yes the large coil is operated with a Wenhelt electrolytic interrupter. See also: kzbin.info/www/bejne/j2jJaIWXgd5oqqM and kzbin.info/www/bejne/d2e3lGl-n5mWl9U

@@florencefst Thank you for getting back to me. It's good to see that such an amazing collection is in the hands of people who do not only collect artifacts, but care about their context and their purpose in scientific history. I particularly enjoyed watching that video with the Seibt coil. The original description to that equipment was published in Elektrotechnische Zeitschrift, 24, 1903, pp.105. In my spare time, I am researching about Georg Seibt. It's the first time I had the chance to see that experiment for real. Thank you very much, Nikolaus Löwe

Great videos. Thanks for sharing them. If you were to increase the size of the top load on the secondary coil, would you achieve longer sparks?
