I love my CT. I paid 100K for my F350 Limited, and I didn't see a bunch of hate about that thing across the Intertubez. I sold the Ford, and the GMC, and the Tundra before it - and I have zero regrets. I love the thing. But the online vitriol is seriously off the chain; it's gotten downright weird. However, in person? I get nothing but interest and compliments.

Congratulations, and I couldn't agree with you more. It is super weird and all these ridiculous haters make me want to throw up with what they say, it doesnt make sense. I just got my invitation to design my Cybertruck. I'm trying to figure out If I should wait until the foundation series ends and then pull the trigger or just go for it. In reality, it is an 80K truck (before the Foundation Series markup) that beats 125K+ established high-end luxury vehicles. With almost 10K miles on my CT towing boat, hauling tools and materials, it is my everyday driver and work vehicle. I have no complaints; it is by far the best truck I have owned.

You cannot compare a truck to a sedan. Two totally different types of vehicles. You have to compare a cybertruck to a rivian, ford 150, dodge ram, hummer, etc. Even a comparison between cybertruck and large suvs like range rover, discover, cadillac escalade, and hummer would be more closer.

I agree, however, I think he's trying to make a comparison to these luxury cars because (let's be honest) most CT owners are never going to take their cars off road. Range Rover, G-Class, Lexus, and Infiniti would be another good comparison. The cars you've mentioned have all been reviewed to death by other KZbinrs.

@@arya_jahan98 Thanks. I would not label cybertruck as luxury. There is nothing luxury about it. Bad engineered and cheap interior design. For example a large sun roof without a shade that does not open and an interior made of 78 percent plastic and 22 percent “vegan leather” ie pleather equates to peeling and melting interior. If you look under the cybertruck lots of cheap plastic parts. It is a overpriced pickup truck for non pickup truck drivers not a luxury vehicle. Luxury buyers and ev enthusiasts are two totally different sets of buyers. The luxuries a luxury buyer is accustomed to are only available in the same manufacturer’s version of an ev vehicle like going from a porsche panamera to a taycan or a rr wraithe to a spectre. Going from a tesla 3 or y to a cybertruck is the same as going from overpriced basic to more overpriced basic.

@@cjking4511 The point of this video is to help justify its price by showing that it is comparable to any other luxury vehicle at its price point. Despite how you feel, this guy seems to feel that it is worth the 100k. By the way 100K isn’t its actually price, it’s 80K. This CT and all models currently being sold are the Foundation Series models or effectively the beta testers versions. Overwhelming, only the “early adopters” or “tech geeks” even knew about the CT to be able to reserve it in time to own one right now. Also overwhelming, these individuals are almost always a lot more forgiving of after-purchase-refinement. In 5-10 yrs it will probably be 70k. By the time you’re able to buy one you’ll probably feel a lot better about it than you do now. In the meantime… have you ever wondered why you have negative feelings towards the CT? It is just a truck that no one is making you buy or watch videos of. I don’t know anything about you of course but, why do you think you’d take your time commenting on a vehicle that you presumably aren’t interested in?

@@robertrayford8708 Back in 2019 I paid the 100 reservation for the CT. Two months ago 2024 I received an email that I can pick my options if I pay a 1K nonrefundable deposit. In 5 years I have matured, tastes have elevated, and financial position in life has grown. In 2019 I was attracted to an innovative design, the first ev vehicle I was ever interested in buying, a marble dashboard, and it was priced at 50K. Now the CT is finally available in 2024 but is much smaller, more than double the price, no door handles, problematic, lots of recalls, zero luxuries, child sized steering wheel, sunroof does NOT open, sunroof has no shade, I have to pay 3rd party companies to wrap it, etc and I am "negative" for being disappointed? I am entitled to my pov so it is immature to call my pov "negative" just because I do not hype up overpriced basicness. The point of the video is to be misleading. If you want to compare a cybertruck to "luxury vehicles" at the CT price point which is 120K to 160K is the current real price point then the CT would need to have luxury first to make the comparison lol. You could compare the CT to lesser luxury suvs and pickup trucks that sell for half the CT pricepoint but comparing it to luxury sedans when the CT is not luxury nor is it a sedan does not make sense. You could compare the CT to a Tacoma, Dodge, Hummer, etc or suvs like Porshe Maycan, Lexus RX, Audi Q7, BMW X5, X7, Maserati Levanti, Range Rover, Discover, F-Pace, Lincoln, Cadillac, etc.

In 5 years my tastes has changed and I have learned what real luxury is. It is not “negative” but rather intelligence. You cannot compare a plastic interior to a luxury interior. The ct interior is plastic with pleather seats.

The Mercedes is built on a gas car platform that they already have, and It's poorly engineered. Clunky electric motor with messy cables under the hood (no frunk). The handling is poor, platic on the inside is cheap and squeaky. If it were a Tesla, Tesla haters and the media would be crapping on it and the stock would fall. The CyberTruck's cost in it is the completely new platform from scratch, and 48v engineered system. The CyberTruck price will eventually fall. Tesla has better software, batteries, engineering, and safety. Purchase whatever you want.
