Tesla DEGRADATION, RANGE TEST & CHARGING SPEED: 2022 Model 3 Long Range - How much has it degraded?

just bought a used 2022 model 3 long range, 19in sport rims and matrix headlights for $19k after ev credit with 70k miles. battery capacity is at 91% on tessie app and i got a 93 recurrent score

Degradation will also be much less if you only charge your battery to 80%. I've had my iPhone 14 for over a year now, and it's set to where it stops at 80%. Battery health is at 99%, and I use the crap out of my phone. This is why the Long Range Model 3 is the best answer, so the range will be good even at 80% charge. Using quality chargers will also play a big role in your battery's health. If I were to get a Tesla, I would lease it so it's cheaper per month and I wouldn't have to worry about anything. The only problem is that there's no superchargers in my town, and I don't have a garage to install a fast charger.

I actually only charge up to 50% on the weekdays and 80% on the weekends. Sometimes 90% if I have to drive far in the Winter. I've charged 12,993kWh (87%) at home and 1,909kWh (13%) at Superchargers. I've only charged it to 100% 48 times in the past 2 years for road trips and 48 out of 500+ charges isn't that much. @EverydayChris who also reached 50k miles noticed a 10% degradation also. That's why I mentioned that a Model S Long Range would be perfect for me personally since its got a 648km EPA (~570km realistic) range so even at 80%, 450+kms would be more than enough for me. Lol if I leased my Tesla, I'd have doubled my mileage limit at the end of my term 😛
