Yea, Bowie was a natural actor. He did a good job.

I think the press created a myth that he was a bad actor. Probably because most musicians who try ARE. Admittedly not all his films were good, but he had such charisma on screen in all his roles and his own style that like most things to do with Bowie was ahead of his time. He was great as Thomas Newton, Jareth and in Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence. And as Pontius Pilot and Monty in the Linguini Incident. Just A Gigalo was a mess but he was still watchable. And he does a Fred Astaire style dance in Absolute Beginners (which is also not that great) which livens things up!
