Current Tesla Factories. Tesla currently operates out of four full-operational facilities. Three are in the United States, and one is in China.
✅How many Gigafactories are being built?
In 2017, Elon Musk said that Tesla would eventually build 10-20 Gigafactories around the world. So, the current score is three down (Nevada, New York, Shanghai), seventeen to go.
✅Where does Tesla buy their batteries?
Like most car companies, Tesla sources its batteries from major producers so it can focus on its core mission: building electric cars. The company's 2170 cells, which are currently used in Model 3 and Model Y vehicles, are produced by Panasonic at Tesla's Gigafactory in Nevada.
✅What all does Tesla manufacture?
Tesla took ownership in 2010. The plant currently manufactures the Model S, Model 3, Model X, and Model Y employing 20,000 people as of June 2021.

So it’s so refreshing, to not have a lot of dramatic Studio music playing over the actual tour itself, as I kinda like just listening to the sounds of the machines and for those who have complaints about how this video was shot and the fact that there is an absence of commentary, just remember the person who shot this video is not employed by Tesla! So they didn’t get paid to shoot a factory tour to promote Tesla’s products, as Tesla doesn’t need promoting, because their products are selling themselves and they have so much demand that they simply can’t meet the demand and it is one of the primary reasons Tesla can continue to increase its prices to try and temp down demand for their products, so they don’t need some slick promotional videography to sell cars, as it’s just so fantastical, I mean they’re the envy of the industry and so it makes me wonder where is the ceiling, at what point do we say that this company has no place else to go and I have no idea if we’ll ever be in a position to answer that question anytime soon! So thank you for posting this video, I absolutely loved it! Cheers!

Hi Production Plants, You should do a video on Nano One Materials Corp. I'm sure you will be very interested in their cathode technology that make cathode materials less expensive, higher voltage, safer, less degradation and more environmentally friendly. Nano One has created partnerships with names such as VW, Pulead, and an undisclosed USA OEM and multi billion dollar non-chinese cathode manufacturer. Their technology has already been proven. Scale up and commercialization should occur in 2022

In the future I predict they or someone else will be making a trailer platform than uses this battery platform to enable the trailer to move independently and with car style suspension it can be transformed into many applications think caravans than self park and charge your elecric tesla while driving doubling your range etc. 😊👍

Building cars is certainly much different than when I started at GM making Cadillacs in the late 60s. I was in a pit cars moving over my head screwing in gas tanks. The walls were lined with fluorescent lighting and it was hot and noisy.
