When it messes up, please disengage and press the button on the steering wheel to let Tesla know what it did wrong so that they can correct it in the future

I usually do that just not when recording so it doesn’t interfere with audio

The "mess up" was not so bad since the car went back on course after a few turns. When I am driving far from home I sometimes take the wrong roundabout exit or far worse the wrong highway exit. However it is an issue that the car is locked in a bad loop 🙂. Maybe a mapping issue, I know it works with vision but it navigates with google map data.

I’ll have to do more testing. With V11 it seems to get the lanes correct on that particular roundabout.

I’m using the free FSD trail and am experiencing the exact same problem with multi-lane roundabouts as you are. In my case, I almost DID get into an accident. I started out in the inside, left lane with a car just to my right and slightly behind me in the outside lane of the roundabout. My lane neded to continue around the roundabout to at least the next road, while the next lane could also turn or go straight. My route had me going around to the next road, yet the car started to change lanes into the outer lane. Had I not taken over, I’m certain I would have swerved directly into the other car. This has happened at least twice and maybe three times in the 3 days I’ve been using FSD.

I agree on the slow decisions that could upset people behind me. My wife was behind me once and I thought for sure she was going to run into me resulting in both of our cars behing banged up.

Are you guys using the free FSD trial?

Its lack of training data prolly .. roundabouts are not common in the US, let alone multi-lane ones. I've seen the same problem.

What have you noticed is different between V11 and V12?
@timhill90393 ай бұрын
@@northerntesla On V11 the car was very nervous with roundabouts, and would often stop before entering the roundabout even with no cars anywhere. V12 is far more confident, even in the worst case, and handles them far more like a human.

Well, not sure where you are, but it’s pretty common in NorCal Bay Area

Upvoted for your comment at 4:03: "The car is driving the way it is driving, we don't care what you would have done". I find it so annoying when a video is full of "If i was driving I would have" ... we don't care! Good vid!

Thanks! People need to accept FSD has its own driving style

Any way you can show us these roundabouts on Google earth so we can understand what exactly it got wrong? I’m in the UK… we have zillions of dual lane roundabouts including spiral laned ones. 👌

Sure will include that on the next video!

Good training data... do you report them? Please do so the team can use these to help correct the issue.

I do when not recording

Slowing is a safety feature to minimize impact energy in potential collision. It won't be like that long before it figures out that problem. To my credit I've said that at least half of all traffic problems have to fo with road designs. It's great to have smarter, safer, better engineered cars like Tesla EVs. But none of it will address the nearly infinite diversity of global road systems in all the countries and cultures. What we need more than smart cars is the uniform design of intelligent roads. Intelligent Roads talk to Smart cars that talk to other smart cars and globals weather systems. Take variable driving laws and poor drivers out of the system. All a compter system needs to know is Point A and Point B and any wanted chosen interactions. A smart car, smart road, connected to a global AI database does everything else. 💯🌟

its not ready what a disaster. that was an accident waiting to happen
@northerntesla3 ай бұрын
I wouldn’t say it was a disaster. It made a navigation error and instead of doing something stupid, it re-routed. I can’t say the same for dumb humans who will swerve across three lanes of traffic cause they’re about to miss their exit.
