This is actually an offer of a reasonable price. I thought it would be much more but this is way more than fair! Thank you very much for your effort and this inspiring project!

7 months have been a good investment. I’m just not sure how to implement it into my t3 Syncro ;) . But definitely inspired!

Can chevy volt ibooster gen1 supported?. your posts were super helpful however, I get 0x214, 0x219 from the CAN-BUS not 0x20E not 0x20F you mentioned thanks.

Can this be used with Gen1 iBooster sourced from other vehicles? I have a Honda CR-V iBooster that is mechanically identical to the Tesla S/X units

Super cool!! I'm trying to learn more about this stuff and considering the possibility of adding this to my 2008 Nissan Sentra. I would love some input. For steering, I hear everyone saying to use a Corolla EPS/steering column/ECU. For braking, can I use your ibooster? What do I do for gas?
@phoenixs32 жыл бұрын
for gas if its drive by wire use a comma pedal. otherwise you can get cruise control actuators to pull a cable throttle.

@@phoenixs3 I have no idea what you just said but I appreciate the response and I'm excited to start learning and trying this stuff out! Can't wait for more of your content

this makes things much easier ! what are the chances of supporting gen1 iboosters from other. Vehicles? I have one from a volt. I know Comma has a repo with the Dbc files!
@phoenixs32 жыл бұрын
volt ones cant be supported unfortunately - different software on them. just swap it out for the tesla one. i can supply you with just the ibooster if you need.

I have a Tapping sound coming from my iBooster...maybe if you have time, you can help..I have what looks like an iBooster Fault on my 2015 Model S with less than 5000 miles.. I have found nothing on any Tesla forums, but have on Chevvy Bolt forums, with a revealed service memo from chevvy saying dont replace the bosche iBooster, do a software update... The fault starts when you open the drivers door and tapping sound is only stopped by applying pressure to the brake pedal - Car drives and stops fine including regen, but the regen is patchy... I have a Video if you are interested. Seeing all the iBooster layed out an you explaining operation I thought you might know how I should approach this, there is no Tesla service where I am, on an Island! -

Question - can you adjust the pedal-to-booster brake force in the iBooster and get the raw pedal-pressure values out of the same? Thinking of home-brew EV/Hybrid and having the hydraulic braking suplemented/offset with regen...

nope. maybe in future though if i have time to add features

I checked to buy one, but everything is out of stock, so my guess is it was either not enough orders to make it worth your time, and then a hassle to keep up with order more parts. Any chance to get your source code and hardware info for the ecu? So as someone could at least in theory try to build their own? Thanks for posting this kinda of content, it's really cool to see someone hacking and retro fitting old cars with open pilot!

i am currently in process of restocking having supply problems due to global chip shortage. Initial stock sold out quicker than expected.

Really cool hack, how much different is the gen2 ibooster, and do you plan to support it?
@phoenixs32 жыл бұрын
its quite different, larger, more expensive, harder to mount and has different software. i see zero advantages to it currently. maybe support in future.

Do you have a complete kit available ready to ship? IBooster with complete ECU and harness?

isn't the leaf ibooster easier and cheaper to source?
@phoenixs32 жыл бұрын
harder to bolt in to vehicles, and harder to control.

How is this different than just controlling the iBooster via CAN? have you intercepted the hall effect sensor to trick the unit into believing its being pressed?
@phoenixs32 жыл бұрын
I am just controlling it over can. but good luck if you reverse engineer the required canbus signals and checksums
@brandondelgado41532 жыл бұрын
@@phoenixs3 I see, also I apologize if my use of the word "just" came across as demeaning. I was curious what the benefits were of your system. Now I understand that you have taken the time to reverse engineer the CAN DB.
