great video, did I miss something here. you plugged the positive wire and ground where is the negative wire? is that the same thing as ground?

A negative is similar but not the same thing. In this application, the ground( black) is all that is necessary.

I got my model y 2024 last week, I saw four red wires (small 22-18 awg) and tried to tap each one at a time but unsuccessful. Do you happen to know why? Thanks.

I just did mine today I have a 2024 as well and it worked. There are a lot of red wires available and I picked the closest to me

Hey! My only worry is how long that wire will hold up overtime. I like the R8, I thought the range on the R7 good but the R8 is better. They are 100% worth it! I can’t live without the arrows.

A word of caution do not mount the radar detector on the windshield where it can fall off and strike the screen damaging it. THEY ALWAYS FALL OFF EVENTUALLY.

No, this is for radar detection. The speed measuring devices police use you get your speed. You are correct. TESLA already comes with built-in cameras so you don't necessarily need a dashcam.
