You can remove the side metal trim to switch out the key card security module

The newer console really improved the 3/Y interior. My 2021 was right after they switched to this and the heated wheel

Yeah, it's so amazing how swapping this out completely "upgrades" the car. I would do this immediately if I ever had an old model

Is the wiring harness for the 2019 different from 2021? I seen other video that the guy had to switch the entire harness from the old to the new console to make it work and the wireless charger didn’t work. Again since the usbc in the new console doesn’t transfer data Did you guys change the harness ? Please let me know before I go this route I have a new console sitting in my garage Cheers

@@wassimjaber hi there, I do not believe there is a difference in the harness. Just make sure when installing the new part, you plug in the USB on the passenger side footwell area (some people forget this) as well as the CANBUS in the rear. Do this then test it to see if your ports/wireless charger docs charge your devices before bolting down :)
