With no adjustment it really depend on the angle and location of the numberplate. Bright 5m roadspot isnt usefull

It can be adjusted with the adjusting screws with springs that comes in the box. It goes in on the back side of the led bar/plate holder. There is also two types (thickness) of spacers in the box.

Problem with almost all licence plate installs is that the LED bar will be too close to the ground (depends on the car of course) Beside giving you shadows over bumps, less light over the snowbanks, glare on wet roads and poor range, the real problem is too much light right in front of the car where you don't need OR want more light. So your pupils constrict, but even more scary is that your vision unconsciously(!) always will be drawn to the brightest spot that is now right in front of the car. It's fine if you are doing 10km/h, not so fine on the highway in 90 km/h where anything 10-20 meters in front of the car is irrelevant. And the other problem os when you go to lowbeam, you don't see anything and it take a lot longer for your eyes to adjust. So to conclude: If you have to go for a low install, pick LED bar very carefully and it's always better to aim the light 1-3 degrees higher than "optimal" and loose a little effiency, but reduce the hotspot in front of the car.

It might be hard to get the real world impression caught on video, but I absolutely agree. The light-cone in front of the car is way too low

I can at least confirm that on a classic Ioniq this ledbar makes for a biiig improvement. One thing to be aware of is that the curvature of the Ioniq license plate bracket is different to the curvature of the back of the led bar, so you'll have to use spacers (the led bar comes with some), but you will still end up with a gap there. Of course only visible when viewed from above, but I didn't like it so I 3D-printed a custom spacer plate with the correct curvatures that sits between the led bar and the car. On the car I mounted it on, the original bracket on the car had a 1.9 degree tilt downwards, which I also corrected with that 3D-printed plate.

Even if the bar is dead center it does not mean orientation is perfect. Some lamps produce too bright spot near user and then ledbar needs to be adjusted little higher. This is too narrow and more like flashlight than good ledbar. But even bad ledbar is better than no ledbar so still worth it.

Bjørn, i really like your headlight tests. But the ledbar should have been mounted above the numberplate. I know it looks cooler this way, but you lose lots of spread. The higher you mount the ledbar the better it works. Remember it's there to help with highbeam, not lowbeam.

I think its aimed too low If the light is below the numberplate then they are too low to be used for highbeam. I would try flipping the bracket so the lights are above the number plate

It's a good product, better than nothing, but I feel like this is more of a "fog light replacement" rather than a "high beam replacement". The "high" in highbeam is missing :)

Looks the projection of led-bar is a bit too low. Shines the front part quite strong. Tilt up the panel a bit might also help with width....?

Why not adjust it more upwards? It has adjusting screws with springs on the back along with two types of spacers. I adjusted it perfectly fine on my Octavia. No problems tilting it a bit upwards. Your's is pointing straight to the ground.

I've never seen another channel review headlights before. But its such a quality of life issue. My 2020 Kona with normal bulbs was awful until i LED replacements. Technically naughty but great beam patterns so won't be blinding people. Every other channel only reviews in the summer or daytime and you could be stuck with awful headlights all winter.

On camera, the Nuuk LEDs are brighter than the Tesla high beam. But it also is washed out in the center. In real life, is it also blinding in that center strip? Or is it bearable and only the camera sensor makes it look washed out?

I can't speak for this LED bar specifically, but I have an LED light bar on my car aswell (although about 70% more powerful than this one), and if I record it I get a similar blinding spot in the middle on the video, but in real life it's not blinding at all, and looks way better than on video. In this case it might be worth it to try and point it a bit more up though to see if it changes anything. The only real issue however is that sometimes the reflective road signs will somewhat blind you.

5000 to 5500K is daylight temperature... It is what your eyes are tuned for. Around 1800K is candle light, gives a red light. The number comes from the temperature of the light source emitting light. The sun's temperature is 5772K....

In Norway, yes, because of the recent deregulation - as long as he high beam is either in the centre or in pairs. Dazzling is common in Norway. Anywhere else, to the best of my knowledge, it's usually not worth the hassle unless you really want it. In Ireland, the car would need to pass the NCT after installation, so generally, no. In Germany, you'd need a TUV approval, so again, probably not. Feel free to correct me.
