Byd seal top speed 180km/h..you need to compare it to the 2025 byd seal with higher top speed 240 km/h

I drive a 1.2 turbo petrol and raced a bad seal. The seal was much faster off the line but I overtook it as my tiny little petrol engined car has a higher top speed, longer range, costs half the money andvthe tank can be refilled to 100% in less than 5 mins giving 370 miles with the heaters on doing mixed driving. These ev's are rubbish.

You're exactly right. There is very little difference in base price, just like there was little difference in performance. (acceleration and braking, who knows what differences there may be in cornering performance and handling)

Try them without 100% tariffs. Here in the Philippines it only costs 2.55M php while yours @ 48k pounds is almost 3.64M php. It is even cheaper (obviously) in China @ around ~2M php (~37k USD)(~28.5k pounds).

They wanted the cars to be as closely matched as possible. With the near identical performance, they did a great job choosing virtually identical cars! Both cars feature 2 motors, all wheel drive. For me, given the choice, I would pay the extra grand, to have the Tesla.

The BYD Seal may have lower gearing than the Tesla 3. That would make the BYD slightly quicker to accelerate, but would limit its top speed. Though the power is similar, the Tesla has "longer legs" than the BYD. Now, I'm curious...Which one gets the most miles per kWh! While they are almost identical in performance, I'm interested in the one with the most range, and lowest electrical consumption. (yes, I'm especially "boring")
