Does the center screen still work with the battery removed? My center screen shut down with no warning, and as well, various notifications on the driver's display. The car will not drive now, but was working perfectly. Tesla will not do the safety recall on the mcu/eMMC unless I spend $25k on a battery first.

On old packs that service opening is on the top as shown (= you need to remove the battery) , on newer packs at the bottom. Have another look

I have to correct the last statement. EVs are not zero emition vehicles, but remote emition vehicles! 😉
